Looks like 4-4-1-1 with.....

                        Crocombe

Efete.   Waterfall.   Pearson.   Crookes

Maguire-Drew.  Clifton.    Fox.    Sousa

                           Mcatee

                            Taylor

With all the departures I think the team picks itself, but happy with that.

Thought Scannell may have made the bench but obviously not in PH's plans.

About as good a side as we can field right now. Would take a draw if offered.

Are we struggling to attract players?  it feels like that at the minute.  I guess PH will be looking for certain characters so depends what the player pool is like for these types.

I think Hurst said he's waiting to hear from 2 players and we have to be patient.

HT 0-0

I for one am confident after that 1st half that we can get something here. Set pieces are an advantage for us tonight as it seems they're not getting away with the shithousery they performed last Monday. They sound vulnerable on the break too. UTM

First away game since Scunny 2020 for me. Good to be back.

Strong start from Town, though they’ve come back into it. They’re very good at the basics of the game and have an uncanny knack of getting in behind us, as they did a week ago. But we’ve had the better chances and should probably have a goal to our name.

All to play for in the second half. Wouldn’t like to call it.

What the intercourse has happened to us? I know we are giving a real go tonight but a few months ago i would have fancied us but before the match i was hoping to just get a point.

7 straight away defeats 1 win in 11 i think if it stays like this, blame what you want but summat ain't right.

Luke Summerfield on. This increases our chances. If only they had James Berret too.

Halifax are top you know.

Based on the last match and the sounds of it tonight, we are unlucky not to have at least 4 points from this double header.

In terms of this run, which is concerning, our last two games have been against the team which is currently top of the league and we've matched them.

Play like this for the rest of the month and the run will be over.

Facts are facts. Any other Manager with this appalling record would have received his P45 before now.

The deluded fans can bury their heads in the sand but let's be honest this current set-up does not have a clue!

We will be a long time out of the league if this run is not sorted pretty quickly.

Over to you Jason!

1 win in 11. 7 away losses in a row (?)

In none league.

Don’t know how anyone can justify keeping Hurst on. That’s after getting us relegated. Anyone else would have gone ages ago

Don't know what the answer is but I don't think it's Paul Hurst.
Would love to say he could sort us a win out sooner rather than later but don't think he can.
Time for a change I think.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

Has Hurst lost the dressing room? No

Are the players putting in 100% effort? Yes

Does Hurst have Stockwood & Pettit’s support? Yes

There’s no way Hurst will be sacked unless the first two change, which would then lead to the third.

We have to win soon to try and close the ever increasing gap.

Failure to win another game this month and I doubt the new owners would still support him. If they still stick with him they could soon getting the sort of excrement JF did.

One point from two games against Halifax - who are average.
The first game I know equates against Aston Villa against Manu last night.
But - where is the next win coming from in this mediocre league.

We are competing with and matching the top sides, but we aint got a cutting edge. Keep losing these games by the odd goal, so if we don't invest in some more firepower, we will definitely be starting next season in this division.

Think this is right so it makes Hurst look even worse because he looks to have everything going for him but can only manage 4 point in 30

…and Halifax were only five minutes away from beating Tshimanga’s Chesterfield a couple of weeks ago.

Do you know for certain he hasn't lost the dressing room?

As for 100% effort, if that's the case then the players Hurst has brought in are clearly not good enough.

Did we really expect promotion in one season?

Teams have been here for years building, we were relegated and our squad needed a complete rebuild.

Of course, I want us to go up this year, but I just think we might need another summer to add some tweaks to our squad, we're not that far off - fine margins.

I fully trust Hurst to sort this out in time. UTM

Yes. You can tell that from the last two performances against the league leaders.

Results have been awful. We do lack quality in some areas of the team and squad. We certainly lack goals and creativity at the moment.

For what it's worth I think that the players are trying but we have a lot of very average players ( all Hurst recruits) I was under whelmed before we started , amazed at our start and now bored but enjoying gambling on Hurst's losers.

Hurst sounded downbeat and so he should. At least he didn't use the 'fine margins' excuse as the fine margins always seem to favour the opposition.

As optimistic and positive as I am I felt his comments about the Altrincham game on Saturday looks as if he's looking for a draw. 3 points are what we need and some positive inspiration from him would be good.

Were you disappointed last week or did you not watch the match?

Yes I was disappointed last week because we did not win yet again! I have actually lost count now!

Not surprising. With only four digits on each hand we are beyond your limits 😉

I guess the commentator with Disley is Halifax radio as he seems to go up an octave when they go forward.

Scott Woodthorpe, like JT a Town fan and often steps in when JT doesn't cover a game.
