If the president of the USA can go on Twitter spouting rubbish.

Our chairman can give his honest opinion of a football match.

He can give his honest opinion of course. But then he should expect us to give ours too.

If he speaks after a win he's after reflected glory, if he supports the team after a loss he's out of order, if he says nothing he's hiding, if he says something he should shut up, it really amazes me the crappy complaints that are posted on here, the guys a fan, new to the job, wants to do the best he can for the club and town, has already made all his money so doesn't need to do this at all, all the supporters have to do is get behind the team and eventually the wins will come back, we've got a good manager, the start of a good squad, it takes time to build a side, get behind the team...

So, its no surprise that as a technology entrepreneur, Jason Stockwood is all over Twitter, and he enjoys giving his opinions.

He’s taken to giving his opinions on our games, results, and performances. Personally I don’t think that’s going to end well. It’s already sparking criticism and conjecture, with fans suggesting that he must have been watching another game, plus other comments.

What’s your thoughts on a Chairnan and part club owner commenting on Twitter like this. What happens when, perhaps as it should have done by now, he should be making honest comments that our form and performances aren’t good enough if he’s got something to say on there?  And what can that do to the relationship between Chairman and owner, be that Paul or any future manager?

Personally I don’t think it’s a healthy idea or situation and I think it will create a problem for Jason. Whether he likes it or not, he’s now more than just a fan.

Honestly Ian, you need to give it a rest. Not only are you embarrassing yourself, it can’t be good for your mental health being this bitter.

Leaders don't hide away when things are going wrong, they stand up and be counted. The easy thing would be to hide, Jason isn't.

Was it really that outrageous what he said, I think it was measured and people are just a little too emotional after a loss.

The tweet was timed at 17.04, so posted within 10 minutes of the final whistle, maybe a period of reflection might have been wise.

My objection to it is that for a man who is lauded for his communication skills he should sign off with the overworked post-defeat cliché "we go again".

I’ll be honest, the “we go again” line was the only thing I saw wrong with that tweet. Perhaps we didn’t have any other footballing cliches in the building when he wrote it.

Once you’ve crossed the white line Poojah, it’s up to you to step up to the plate. 😉

This is the best comedic assessment of Twitter I’ve ever seen

In terms of his thoughts on the game, he basically said the same things as both Tondeur and Croft did on the radio. Hardly controversial.

I thought there must be another tweet. I saw this and couldn't see anything remotely controversial about it.
As for getting a bad response from sections of the fan base-as he is on twitter anyway he is already getting mentioned in loads of tweets regardless of whether he tweets specifics.
