We didn't test their keeper at all.

Sadly that sums up a typical Hurst performance.

You have to give Chesterfield some credit. They have conceded 15 all season and you can see why.

Page one, 2nd thread, told you all. You dont defend at home, whoever you play. Hurst has lost the players i reckon, no confidence after last 6 games, its the same story from 6 years ago im afraid, something is amiss with the players, too much youtube and Hursty promising and hiding things, time for a change, no good living in the past, bring on the crosses.

We didn't test their keeper but we still missed two absolute sitters that were harder to miss the target from entirely than score. No strength in depth in this squad, and that's ultimately down to Hurst's awful recruitment. Chesterfield have had loads of apparent first team players missing all season, but it's not mattered because they've signed capable backups and most importantly, an actual goalscorer. Meanwhile we brought on LJL to contribute absolutely nothing yet again.

I mean he was on for what 8 minutes and all we did- as we did to Taylor and bell- is boot the ball up to them and expect them to chase or flick it on to no-one

First game I've been able to get to since Notts County. Felt like it was an even game and we held Chesterfield for large parts and created a few chances. Missing the technical ability of Hunt and Mcatee today as a lot of balls were long/high balls. We had a really good spell where Chesterfield apparently ran out of ideas and we were playing good football on the deck and got some chances. Ref was flipping awful and gave Chesterfield everything and us very little. Tshimanga had a very quiet game up until his goal. Heard the booing at the end of the game and dont agree with it. Yes its a bad run but we have to back the lads to turn it around. UTMM

Chesterfield took the plunge in splashing out on Tshimanga and I am thinking they are most probably going up because of it.  He is a goal machine at this level and in tight games turns one point into three. And when they come to sell him they will make a small fortune. It was a shrewd investment. One we were not bold enough to take on.

All is not lost for us. We are sill in the hunt for a play off spot. If we can recapture the form from earlier in the season there is no reason why we can't make it into the top seven which, let's face it, most of us would have taken at the start of the season.

Yes at that point they were, in fact compared to some they currently still are

We built up Wrexham to be better than they were because of how much they spent In fact they were no better than us and still aren't. Unlike a number of other.sides, we imagined we were world beaters, we weren't and we aren't and it will be a lot less painful when we admit it

I just got the impression listening to JT that they were there for the taking (with an undeserved 1-0 just like they did to us) Certainly they were no great shakes and weren't despite a £250000 striker going to smash us out of sight.

Hurst was simply too negative, too defensive, afraid to lose if you like (which is probably understandable given recent results) but once again he either didn't have the balls or simply wasn't bright enough to see that they were no better than us and if he had introduced another front man at around his favorite 70th minute we could well have nicked it.

Instead he saw the chance of a creditable 0-0 and tried to hang on

For his sake I hope he makes a better job of hanging onto his job, three or four more defeats down the line. Grow a pair for felicitations sake, you really have not nowt to lose any more
