There might be a simpler explanation. I went to Maidenhead, Bromley, Woking and Wealdstone, all before the clocks changed and we were bang average in all four games. From that I conclude that we are in fact bang average or I'm a jinx.
For the record I didn't go to Kidderminster, Solihull or Dagenham so draw your own conclusions
