Sorry but you’re delusional if you feel you can put Hurst into the same camp / level as AB!!

One took the club from its lowest ebb to championship football, not once but twice.  The other took six years to get us out of the fifth tier.

Way, way harder to escape the fifth tier than the fourth tier. Four promotion places in L2.

Success is wages driven in a way it never was in Buckley’s era.  

Nobody is saying Hurst is as successful as Buckley.

Can we have a rule where anyone that starts a Match Thread is banned from doing it again for the next 3 games if we lose (Jonah)

After yesterday, once again it highlighted the amount of ducking morons that’s follow town. Is it because we don’t have many fans as it is so the moron element is highlighted more or have we got more than most.

Among the racist muttering is some drunken idiots, the obsession with Paul Hurst being short and the rotund chap just stomping about like a baby shouting Hurst out and the setting the grey example to his son threatening people

Sometimes I scratch my head, was bad enough watching our defence (except waterfall) fall apart for two goals and our alleged best player seemingly get sent off for a pointless challenge, you then have to contend with those morons…

Buckley spent the kind of money we could only dream about spending in 1997 too and then followed it up by spending £500k on Lee Ashcroft. Since then, we've barely spent a penny on transfers. I mean earlier this week we had to get a player to get out of his contract before signing him on a free.

You have to remember that some fans haven’t ever really come to terms with the fact we’re a no mark non league side these days, not still kicking about in the championship…

We were a much bigger club in 2010 having been in the second tier 7 years previously.

Fast forward to 2021 and we've spent most of the last 11 years in non-league.
