Can I just ask...are you for real or is this just a really humorous wind up?

Can I just ask - what is your rationale for asking that question? I don't know why it is difficult to grasp that he (JS) is whistling in the wind as another poster said last week. Football clubs will always circumvent any "fair play" rules and pay more for players. It is a fact of life.

Jason Stockwood has a different approach so good luck to him and us, but I think he will be disappointed if he thinks clubs will play fair. Why should Wrexham give up its new found spending power for example? It is not going to happen. I had hoped we would be amongst the bigger spenders in tier 5, within reason, but he seems to prefer a strategy that involves reducing the pulling power of our competitors. However you look at in any division, those that afford the better players tend to do better. Not always, but it obviously gives you an advantage.

It is a good talking point isn't it?

Lower league and even tin pot non league teams like us almost always over spend. I don’t think giving them more money to do this fixes any problem. Stricter rules on expenditure would help, handouts from the premier league would not.

If you're that bothered go and buy your own season ticket.

Why? I would never use one.

Good article from Rod Liddell in the Sunday Times
on the fan led review. I don’t have the skills to post.
His conclusion. In football greed works.

If I was a cynic and wanted lots of red crosses I might wonder if Jason’s motivation with GTfC was to secure his new fortnightly column in the Guardian which may foster further ambitions in the left wing liberal elite. Fortunately I am not a cynic and don’t want lots of red crosses so quickly banish any such thoughts from my mind.

Being chair of a non-league football club is a footnote on Jason's CV

Maybe but running a dating agency, selling airline tickets and selling insurance don’t not get you four Gurdian articles in three months
