Could we see "Safe Standing" at Blundell Park in the near future?

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Have missed 47 goals this season fckers standing up in front of me everytime we go in their half. I never know the score at the end of the match.  All for safe standing in the corners.

Rail seats are expensive compared to seating, so cost would probably rule it out at Blundell Park.

I would imagine we would probably have to wait till a new stadium before we saw it, unless we squeezed a few in one fo the corners asa  trial

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

I once said Gazza's IQ was less than his shirt number and he asked me: What's an IQ? - George Best

You gain absolutely zero capacity by converting seats into safe standing which makes any conversion a waste of money in my opinion.

I dislike standing at football.

I particularly dislike those that persist in standing in front of those that have paid for a seat, blocking their view. It is rude.

But you improve the atmosphere and therefore make the whole match day experience better for everyone. Those who chose to sit can still do so and there’s less chance of someone standing in front of you.

Unless you’re in the front row*, every booger is stood up in front of you. That’s the whole point.

* and given how every cočk thinks it’s his right to jump on the pitch after a goal, chances are there’ll be people in front of you even then.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.
