Playing well wins nothing if you dont have anyone who can put the ball in the net . And untill we do we will just be an also ran . The bounce will soon ebb away and we will be stuck down here with 2000 watching

for what it's worth & points wise its nothing but actually thought we played really well today as i'v commented on in another thread , blundell park this season to last is like chalk & cheese , ok we lost two games but controlled large parts of both matches , we had enough half chances today sousa taylor fox scrambles in there box where they got lucky but ph knows & we know we need a no9 with a bit of everything pace play with back to goal link up , good luck we are national league

I really can’t believe you’ve used that word. There’s a thread about offensive language currently doing the rounds and you then use a similarly derogatory comment to describe a fellow fan. I’m horrified.

Correct as per the dictionary but a million miles off the context that it was used in reference to when I grew up in the 70's.

I'm not far away from you on this. My own thought is that he's always looked like one of our more capable players in the last five years because the rest of the squad have been poor. Now, because Hurst has put together a side with several more talented players, he looks pretty average as a first choice in his position. I too think we need better.
