I wonder if Swann is thinking about one last throw of the dice.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if his next job was at The Scunts.

Amazing to think we could be playing Charlton again next season.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Then again, we could be playing Chorley!

I definitely prefer your option though!

Funny you should say that. When I was young I swore blind that Charlton Athletic were a Lancashire club. Just sounded like it should be to me. 🙄

Scunny could roll the dice on him but I wonder if Wrexham may be interested in getting him as a fairly big name manager to try and steer their expensive signings

I'm not sure they would be able to attract a known manager there - on and off the pitch they are a complete shambles, I doubt anyone wioth a reputation would want to tarnish it with a relegation to non-league. In my opinion they are only going to attract either an up and coming manager or a has-been that wants one last pay-off.

Apparently we are from Yorkshire, how many times do we hear "You dirty Yorkshire b@stards"

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Interesting point there.  They acted late I the transfer market. Then didn’t have much of a pre-season.
Thus leading to a very poor start to the season.

Sound familiar ???

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Shows how ignorant some people are, don't recognise a good Lincolnshire team when they one.

I can see the next one being the Portsmouth manager Danny Cowley. Portsmouth are a massive club to be dwindling just above the relegation dog fight area. Did my Naval training down Pompey, and believe me, Portsmouth fans aren't very patient.

You say that but from Holloway's first 10 league games we achieved 12 points.

From Hurst's first 10 games we achieved 4 points.

You are correct, we would have sacked him at the end of the season if you had your way.

The difference is one did a runner and the other knew he had a sleeping giant. 10 months later one still hasn't got a management job and the other has a team at the top of the league.

It must be killing you, how well we’re doing this season, never mind I’m sure we’ll loose another game one day and then you can gloat about it.

Nope again, he is doing very well but we haven't won anything yet but at the end of the day he was partly responsible for our relegation to the National League.

I didn't gloat after the Bromley game and it's lose not loose FFS.

Quote from the BBC

'Louis Mendez, BBC Radio London Charlton Athletic reporter

"But this season has started off poorly and just got progressively worse.

"I know he was disappointed with how the transfer window went this summer - Charlton acted too late and didn't really have a pre-season behind them, and the inability to put a settled side out in terms of fitness set Charlton back a bit.'

This reminds me of somebody.

At least that southern ignorance is understandable. They’re out by a few miles. I was out by 200. I doubt there’s a market for “Charlton  is not in Lancs” teeshirts 😆.
