I know we are not allowed to get carried away and things can go wrong rapidly eg injuries , loan players recalled, Hurst stolen by Newcastle or the sky falling in etc but several bookies are still offering 13/2 against us winning this league which looks very generous to me.

I'm weary of Chesterfield in particular as they have a 30 goal plus marksman and Rowe won't be far behind. Wrexham will surely pick up, Notts County as well. Agree 13/2 looks good value though as we've a team of grafters and no little quality.

I have a friend who is a Chesterfield season ticket holder and he has not been impressed by them and is very worried about us. Also they are giving regular game time to Stephan Payne!

I think I read that Payne has 5 yellows in 7 games. Seems to be a crackpot. Though I'm still not sure what Morais did wrong. Water under the bridge I suppose now.

I know how these things work, but I still find it ludicrous that the odds infer that Wrexham are almost twice as likely to win the league than us at this stage.

I suspect they risk ruining quite a few accas this season if they don’t buck their ideas up soon.
