Two wins from our last three qualifying games would guarantee us a spot at next year's World Cup in Qatar.

Hungary has always been a hotbed of Fascism. They never learned their lesson in the War by carefully swapping sides at the right time.

Going on those pictures at half-time looked like the police couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Didn't expect this, Hungary giving us a proper game.

Shaw lucky to not get a second yellow.

Really? Did well in the group of death at the Euros. England’s performance in Budapest was possibly the most complete England qualifying performance away from home ever.

Hungary playing well, England looking aimless. Lots of pointless shuffling the ball around and way too many players off their game. The fact that he's chopping and changing where everyone is playing shows how we are struggling to do anything much in attack.

Don't understand why Grealish was taken off and Mount stays on.  Mount has hardly touched the ball all night.

Not good this too many players who are not getting game time at their clubs and one or two who can do better.

I think tonight showed the difference in defence when Maguire isn't playing. He's a much better footballer and defender than Mings and gets things moving more quickly from defence to attack. Also, it didn't help that Kane, Sterling and Mount were all ineffective today. We badly need an alternative to Kane who is struggling at the moment and I'm pretty sure that Abraham or Calvert-Lewin aren't the answer.

Not the first time that we've looked clueless when trying to wedge more outright attacking players into the team. Used to happen all the time with the 'golden generation' of Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes, etc.

Awful tonight... Southgate ballsed the substitutions right up!..took off Grealish just as he was starting to unsettle their defence, left sterling on( obviously one of Southgates pets) who was shite at best, mount doing nothing and Kane has lost his mojo big style at the moment.

Well that was poor. Poor passing. Poor shooting. Poor judgment. Slow off the mark.

Just how good is Kalvin Phillips? Carried this lot at the Euros…

Seriously though Grealish of the Euros comes on against tired legs and finds a way through or wins dangerous dead balls. We ended up playing long balls to Shaw for twenty mins at the end which achieved nothing.

When u play teams that park the bus in my opinion you need players to be close together with quick one touch passing.  It also helps if players don't always go for the easy pass.

I also saw the comment on the BBC Net about Holloway.  The words Holloway and international manager should never appear together in the same sentence! 😟😟
