Sales have been 'steady' I'm told. Suspect it won't be an away sell out

PS apparently we get £2000 from the BBC for showing it ,plus 45% of the take , which I'm guessing will be between £15-£18,000 - plus £3k if you lose (£9K for the winners), so at worst we get in another £20,000

Minor point, but is it not a bit stingy for us to take 45% of the ticket money, especially given how far ahead of budget we must already be this season.

I’m sure it’s our entitlement, but there must be a mechanic for bigger clubs to opt out of that arrangement in situations where it’s likely to make a significant difference to the hosts. I’m sure we’d appreciate a similar gesture were we to face a club from the upper echelons later in the tournament.

Exactly. Glad it’s his decision not mine.

Absolutely agree with you.

He plays a strong team and wins! Could have given others the chance would be the cry.
Plays a strong team, wins, and one player has a big injury! He should defo played a weaker team.
Plays a weak team and lose's! What a plonker.
Plays a mixed team, lose's and a 1st teamer injured. A bigger plonker.

All the above and Hurst is hopeless, couldn't pick a team to top the league (LOL)

Picks a weakened team and wins. What a manager, a man of vision and understanding.

Like you KM I'm very pleased it's not my decision.

In some respects, it’s a no win situation for PH.

Whatever he does, folk will expect us to win, ignoring the fact Bromsgrove are gonna try and do what we’ve done to Spurs, Liverpool, Everton etc…

Hope we get close to 1,000-will look good for us on TV as well as keeping the average up! Appreciate it’s an easier journey for some of us though.

No.
We're hardly Chelsea or man City, we still have a 1.5 mill debt to fenty who has first dibs on our transfer fees. No idea of bromsgrove finances but quite possibly they are in a healthier situation than us.
When clubs have foregone money like this to my memory its usually a prem club against non league (whereas we are only 2 levels above bromsgrove) or the receiving club is in dire financial circumstances, again not the case to my knowledge.

Losing a first teamer to a serious injury would be worse than losing IMO, we're not going to win the FA Cup but we are, given current form and if no key players get a long term problem, going to win the NL

I’ve managed to get tickets for the game and I couldn’t be more excited. For a variety of reasons, I’ve haven’t been able to see us yet this season. I actually don’t mind what side we put out although I reckon McAtee and Taylor could probably do with a rest. I just hope we can avoid any injuries and put in a performance.

Will Hunt and Towler be allowed to play? They would be cup tied for their parent clubs, or any club they joined on loan after January if we cant extend their loans.

So I imagine their parent clubs would not want to see them play in this game.

No chance. After plenty of away games and some long trips in there recently I’d imagine plenty are taking a week off, especially given it’s not the easiest to get to on the train.

Be surprised if we take over 500.

That surprises me, but as you say, we've had plenty of away games recently and I suppose Bromsgrove doesn't get the pulses racing,
