Whatever happened to young Louis Boyd? is he still playing for the youths? I've not seen him mentioned in any youth match reports for a long while. Seems a while ago since his big night.

Yep he is. Played at the weekend.

Don't forget, last season he was still at school and only an u16 player. This season is his first year as a YT.

Always seemed dubious to me the way that Runaway exploited Boyd's five minutes of fame for his own ends.
Taking him to Walsall as a sub for the League game was an attempt to keep the publicity circus going and to deflect from questions about his squad. What Neil Woods and other coaching staff thought would not have mattered to our fraud of a manager. Did the club have to amend his insurance for a League game or are all those on Schoolboy terms covered?

3-0 win for the Youth tonight.

Good performance all round. Should've had more goals. Halifax had a few moments but weren't very threatening overall.

Some really good bits of football and very composed under pressure at times.

Would be nice to get another home draw in the next round to play at BP again.

Excellent result.

This was the line-up:

Personally, I thought Harvey Tomlinson (right winger/right forward) and Aaron Braithwaite (central midfield) looked very good. Tomlinson scored 2 including a worldy free kick very early in the game, had good quick feet and competed well despite being smaller in size. Braithwaite was strong and dominant in central midfield.

Essel was a handful up front and is always a threat with his pace. Some decent hold up play at times, and could've had a couple of goals if he'd been a bit more selfish.

Most of them gave a decent account of themselves to be honest. Don't want to run through most of them and not mention 2 or 3, so will leave it at that for now. Would be interested to know what others thought?
