Haha! Thanks, it is pretty messed up what the government guidelines are for schools but I can't be bothered to waste my breathe moaning about it, I gett enough of it in my ear at work 😂

I've estimated they have budgeted for a 4000 gate, based on 3000+ season ticket holders and an average of 200-250 away fans (big 4/5 will be 80% of that). I reckon that if the dover gate is 5k plus then the finances are up by 150-200k

When 1878 took over they more than likely never expected in their wildest dreams of 3,000 ST holders; so that wouldn't have been in their budget, probably 2,500 at most. Looking at previous gates and the downside of the previous regime about 500/1,000 extra on the day. Say a good crowd for budget of 3,000/3,500.

Every extra fan is worth about £20+ to the club per match, 1,000 @£20 per match is £20,000 X 20 home games is £400,000 per season. So a 5,000 gate would bring in at least £40,000 and you now looking towards £1 million for the season.

I'm not having a go at you or Luke but trying to be realistic on the extra income. Any which way we want to look at figures there will only be one winner, 1878, and we know they want to invest in the club. So we all win.

How I worked it out per person is an average £15 match ticket... £10 on drink/food (some spend £0 some spend £30+) and over the season £50 in the club shop average.

Although Forza might be optimistic on the budget figure of a 4000 gate, it means he’s being more cautious on the additional income Dave. Safer to go with his figure ironically!
