You try to be clever but in reality your not and write utter sh1te mostly. Hence the cumulative red crosses for the Madeley's I guess.

Why? Apart from conceding an early goal and Macca having his goaline save we pretty much out played them for 90 mins, played entertaining attacking football and scored a handfull.

When I saw the lineup today I had a good feeling about the game and the lads fully delivered.

Coke, Waterfall, Efete and Clifton especially stood out today. Sounded like Taylor is getting fit and playing how Hurst said he can play.

I've always said I'm a realist I'll call out a bad performance and praise a good one and today we dominated against a good side away from home.

I think they where a good side at this level last season but 19th in the NL would suggest they’ve dropped off a bit. Any 3-1 league win away is a great result IMHO.

Must say I'm surprised at our start to the season. Had it not been for the ref at Stockport, we would be looking at 4 wins out of 4.

I expected us to start steadily and improve as the season progressed, but we are exceeding my expectations at the moment. Got plenty of more players to come back and add to the strength of the squad and obviously, another striker at some point.

Two of last seasons stronger sides played, both away from home and four points gained from them.

First big test at home on Tuesday. Can't wait to see how we do.

What a difference a year makes.

Organised, hard-working, and best of all - a fantastic team spirit.

The hallmarks of a Hurst team.

Why....I will tell you. Because in going a goal behind early at Stockport you used the phrase "typical Hurst defensive balderdash" almost immediately. You try to be clever but in reality your not and write utter sh1te mostly. Hence the cumulative red crosses for the Madeley's I guess.

I wasn't wrong, it was a typical Hurst defensive display (which we had seen over a number of seasons), did we not spend the first 45 minutes of that game sat far too deep, defending our own 6 yard box against Stockports waves of attack while we boringly hoofed the ball back to their CBs and Goalkeeper, nearly conceding two goals (thank god for their striker also doing the defending for us with his standing leg both times). Second half we immediately attacked and scored (albeit corssed off) and looked and entertaining side which pinned Stockport in their own area pretty much for the next 45 minutes (which I also commented on) I even said by the end of that game it was points dropped by us and a lucky draw for Stockport, because we could of won it in the end.

I will always happily praised good football and will always call out crap football. I can unstand a number of the happy clappers can't accept any sort of negativity (even when fully deserved), because they think Hurst and the club excrement rainbows and unicorns.

I stand by my position of if you accept mediocrity you will get mediocrity (and we've had plenty of that over recent years), thats why I hold the club to higher standard then it seems a number of here do, because I want my club to be the best club.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara
