England couldn’t get the ball off John Collins and Gary McAllister in the first half. Venables brought Redknapp on at half time and it changed the game. Phillips and Rice aren’t protecting the back four and they’re certainly not being progressive on the ball so you might as well pull Mount back deeper and bring on Grealish, Sancho or Rashford. I can see why Southgate didn’t drop Phillips but it needs a tweak as it’s not working.
