Good oh. Couldn't consider getting one last season but will have a punt again this year. 15 months since I've seen a game in the flesh? Absolutely crazy.

Some real value there.
If you’re a Trust member who had a season ticket last year, you could be paying about £12.39 a match for a seat in the Upper Findus.

Ok.....at last ...prices released....some very nice nods of appreciation to previous holders, young adults, ancient mariners and the nhs/ armed forces...
But I didnt see how much they will charge per game to give an indication of the potential savings to be had by going S.T.
Also, I have not had an s.t for a few years so how do the standard s.t prices, no discounts applicable , stack up against last time out?

Happy with that.......£21.33p per game for Me,Son and Grandson. Nice to get discounts, leaves more money to spend in the shop, bars and other things at GTFC. (Based on 22 games - Only 23 teams in National League)

Normal discounted prices with free carer I would imagine.

Quite expensive for new season ticket holders but look at the discounts elsewhere so there has to be a trade off somewhere.
The buy 5 get a 6th free looks good value

I think £375 for 22 non league games is a valid gripe for some fans. Do think there are some good innovations as well though.

I’m a big fan of everything the club is doing atm however I think it’s more than fair for some to be disappointed.
Obviously there is so much thought that goes in to charging what we do BUT our pricing is pretty much Championship level. I get that they receive revenue in excess of what we do which means that they can drop their prices to compensate however I do understand the disappointment.
To back that up, you can watch Barnsley, Birmingham, Blackpool, Bristol City, Cardiff, Coventry, Huddersfield, Forest, QPR, Reading, Sheff Utd, Stoke and Swansea for no more than the cost of the Upper at GTFC next season.

The Upper is the premium product and there are only about 1800 seats excluding the restricted views in the top corners. If the club sells most of the seats in there at a low ST price it will be a big loss of revenue overall. I go in there and pay full match day prices with the one match free with the exile pack (now 1878 club). Occasionally I splash out for McMenemy’s as well. If the seats have all gone to discounted STs the club loses that extra cash.
The club have allocated discounts very sensibly IMHO - loyal fans, young and old and key workers / armed forces.

But as limerick pointed out that's the price for the best seats in the house.you can still get a decent view from any of the other stands if you pick your seat sensibly and then it's only 340 which is about £15 a game which I think is very reasonable. You've also got the various discounts, and everyone could benefit just by joining the trust You also get free membership of 1878 club ( worth £25) £10 off a shirt, which loads of people buy, plus a club shop discount so all in all most people will be getting a bargain

You could argue that the “free membership of 1878 club” is worthless as STH already get first and higher priority on everything that 1878 club offers non-STHs.

But these teams receive a minimum of £6.7m each in solidarity payments and revenue shares alone. That's even before a season or match ticket is sold. It's easy to discount ticket prices when you have millions coming in to compensate!

Apart from the average Championship club loses £26m a year. And that’s pre-COVID. I was expecting a family ST offer in the Main Stand and a better deal than the 6 for 5 offer announced. I’m a little underwhelmed. More rearranging the deckchairs on the titanic than a route and branch relaunch of ticketing structures. The elephant in the room is it’s 22 home league matches next season and not 23. That’s 4.3% of what you’re normally buying gone before you consider anything else.

We’ve just been through a year with no fans in the ground and we’re just about to take a huge financial hit from dropping out of the league, what did they expect? £100 each? Ticket prices are the one thing that keep clubs below League 1 alive, I’ve always been of the opinion that prices should actually be lower in the PL given the fact the revenue is a mere drop in the water. The prices will keep the club competitive and in reality they’re very fair.

Some people won’t be happy until tickets are free, and even then they’ll want their bus fare covering.
I expected something more from the shift worker/exile angle, but can appreciate that you’d have to be careful selling those as people would probably do those over a full ST. Then again, if I weren’t an exile I wouldn’t give a shíte about it.

I make it £13 a game for new STs for a grandparent (75+) and two grandchildren in the Main Stand - you won't get into the cinema for that (£18 in fact in Parkway cinema). Grandparents have more time - the keen 75+ and child pricing could work well. On the 1878 6 games for 5 you can't have better deal than for ST holders so that's best it can be.

Good news there. I’ll be renewing. Would’ve liked to have seen the price for younger kids go down, but am pleased see that teenagers (or parents) will save a few quid.
Be great to see the 10% discount applied to all previous STH holders to try and get a few back.

All I wanted as an exile was an option to get a bit more value than £20 per game and the chance to get access to tickets for ‘big games’ easier (basically I’m going to do a fair few away games and don’t want to miss out). The 1878 ticks that perfectly.

To be fair I'm 100% behind the new owners of GTFC. If I had to try find a criticism or offer advice for the future I'd say look at doing a family ticketing system in the main stand. Something like (as an example) the furthest 500 seats towards the away end in the main stand offer for 1 adult and a child free season ticket deal. If they don't sell all 500 offer the limited amount of tickets left to game to game fans but only for that section.
I was a season ticket holder many years ago as a child for 10+ years before I moved away so I don't actually know if something is actually in place in the main stand for children or not at the moment?

I got my ST pack this morning and think the pricing structure is quite reasonable. I will add that I am a tad bias as I get the over 65 rate and the discount for buying a ST for last season. The only thing that does concern me is my seat allocation. Prior to last season I had occupied the same seat in the Youngs Upper stand for 14 seasons. Because of the Covid restrictions I was given another seat in the Upper Youngs for last season. With todays pack there was a Supporters Code of Conduct leaflet along with the credit card type pass for last season showing my revised seat number. Now I'm wondering if I have totally lost my original seat pre Covid and will only get a ST for my socially distanced new location. Without emailing the club today ( nobody will be there anyway) does anybody on here know what the seat allocation will be for the new season ?

Personally, I wasn't expecting anything, which is why I stated 'some fans'. The fact we had a year without income is not the fault of the fans and the fact we got relegated and subsequently lost revenue isn't either. The fans are being asked to pay an increased amount for one less game at a poorer level, which is not going down well with some fans. This isn't something that will affect me as I can easily afford it, but not everyone can. I will also re-iterate, that i think there are some very good deals in there too. Just playing devil's advocate here.

The pricing structure seems fairly reasonable given the circumstances, especially good to see offers for juniors. Although if Fenty had tried to sell 22 non league games for £375 there would have been calls for revolution. I guess with investment coming for new training facilities, the club reckons fans will be likely to pay more if they see the owners putting money in. The club needs to get its revenue back on track after the pandemic too. I do wonder if potential returning fans, who won't be eligible for discounts, will be put off by the price. Hopefully not.

I won’t be getting a season ticket. Son of is in the RAF so won’t make every game and obviously we sit together. I suspect, that as usual I’ll end up paying more than if I’d bought one. The price may put some off buying a ST. But if we are up there and challenging the crowds will increase anyway. We have to remember that we (more than most) rely heavily on gate money for our income. Hopefully this will decrease as we actually try to attract outside investment instead of opposing it. Let’s hope we get a cup run that gets the non ST holders complaining about struggling to get tickets for the home game against Man U. Then again for the reply sell out at Old Trafford. 🤞 😀 UTM

I asked She said 'Well you already know how to play football' |

Just bloody buy one and quit the wittering! UTM!
If I know I wont make 4-5 home games a season anyway due to other commitments....then factor in a couple more for the unforeseen then pay on gate vs season ticket becomes a real decision.

The pricing structure seems fairly reasonable given the circumstances, especially good to see offers for juniors. Although if Fenty had tried to sell 22 non league games for £375 there would have been calls for revolution.
I guess you've not noticed the hypocrisy yet. There have been a few things that Fenty would be getting slaughtered for that have happened so far. All of them completely understandable as to why it has been that way, but many of the things previously were understandable too. Nice to see they're looking after the fans who bought a ticket last season. Does seem very expensive for a new season ticket holder, especially when they're exactly the people who we need to get in.

The 1878 club looks just the ticket for exiles like me. Much more likely to go to hone games.

| Through the door there came familiar laughter, I saw your face and heard you call my name. Oh my friend we're older but no wiser, For in our hearts the dreams are still the same. |
