Not the point I was making at all Rick.

What I was saying is that hardwork, self-belief and even good luck, will not be get you far unless you have the talent to start with and use it with intelligence.
I kind of realised  the point you was making Kingston but its pure frustration on my part in seeing how Spain are doing this tournament so far after the dizzying heights they reached before especially as I have a bit of Spanish in me though more English .

Incidentally though I bought a copy of Euro 2020 which includes analysis of the players/managers  covered by world soccer magazine. A lot of  unfancied teams have players in the top leagues in Europe which creates more of a level playing field in the tournament probably more so than years gone by.

So it was just a random comment by you then Rick and had nowt to do with what I said, even though you replied to my post?

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.

Well done to Wales. Good result keeping Italy to one even if the Italians didn’t need to rack up more goals they are winners who always want to score more.

Your overcomplicating it Kingston 😉

In a nutshell I got what you said but  I further added to it by my frustration at most of the players lack of passion and bite. I don't think all the flaws lie directly with the manager. Players I feel sometimes have to step up and be counted as well.

Half time....Russia 0-1 Denmark.

Russia going out as it stands but things could easily change.

As an aside what is our (England) actual first team kit colours because we seem to play in a few different ones these days?

It looks like it's Wales v Denmark on Saturday then in the Round of 16.

What a performance by Denmark, fantastic. Play like that on Saturday and Wales will struggle.

Switzerland through (by my maths) too.
