Fair play to whoever is going through all these accounts and working it out. I had no idea that Fenty had pulled this stunt and basically taken control of the club and letting the club pay for it. He really is a first class pr1ck.
Any of the usual sycophants care to defend this?

am sure P.P. will be able to justify this, whilst throwing in something negative about 1878 at the same time

That’ll be Tony Butcher who wrote the article. He’s an insolvency specialist so will no his way around company accounts.

Again…some of this stuff has been mentioned before but I’m sure Pen the old chap will be here to tell me that I’m wrong and it’s all conjecture or that you’re just out to get him. The new owners aren’t what we think blah blah…

Could start a game of PP bingo ,begin with the above and add in 'standard financial move' sensible planning, did it for the good of the club, shouldered the burden alone, always acted in the best interest if the club, always gave managers the budget they needed, you wait till 1878 show their true colours, not what they're made out to be etc etc etc

With that level of predictability…perhaps he is just Fenty and he’s found out how to use the SPaG checker on his computer…

I retract my comment and replace it with ‘he really is a scheming, egotistical, smarmy, self obsessed waste of spunk’.
Fans are not to blame but all this was out there and yet those who, for a considerably long time rallied against him were continually shot down down…thank intercourse everyone came to their senses…

The forensic accounting here is incredible. I have read and re-read it and I am astounded by the deviousness of the previous administration. No wonder nobody would want to go into any sort of partnership with JF. Kudos to the investigation. This is the ultimate nail in the coffin isn’t it?

Tbf Yoda I didn't realise all this was out there in the public domain. I was only grateful for keeping GTFC from going under, however it's clear to see he is an absolute fuking snake.

We the fans thought he was one of us. Hopefully we've learnt our lesson..... Nope. Interesting how he never secured the loans. He couldn't get away with that one but was glad to saddle the club he supposedly loves with it. So smug when he got away with it. Its no wonder we couldn't attract investment. He'd rob his own mother
|
| Christ you all wanted him sacked a few months ago. 6th place finish and he's now the messiah and can do no wrong Update: I think I've got this right - He was the messiah. He then wasn't. He then was again. Then it turned out he actually wasnt. He turned into one big huge messiah again. Now he's not actually the messiah we thought he was . Now I'm hoping he rises again quickly |

He never cared about the club and the more people read, the more that is exposed the more we realise that whilst he pretended to be one of us, to be a fan, none of us would’ve behaved and done the things he did.
CA have done well to leave out the truly embarrassing stuff…they’ve focused on what was already out there and what some had previously said and claimed etc.
For a man who so desperately claimed he didn’t want to own the club he sure did a lot of immoral and top cuntery stuff to gain ownership.
flipping fraud, charlatan, wankstain anus…

Pen? Are you there?
I'm here, what are you specifically referring to, because I'm not reading through that much diatribe to get to whatever part you think is so terrible now. It's clearly written by a person with an agenda. I skipped to the end and saw some numbers, which claim a pension payment to Fenty was made, I'm not sure where that comes from, because the accounts don't say what went to who. Seems like a bit of a guess. And as for I'm against 1878, that's entirely not true. I'm against the hypicorisy of people on here. If Fenty was in charge and season ticket packs weren't out yet, people would be kicking up a stink. We actually had some positive momentum this pre season and some of it has been missed by taking so long to get them out. If Fenty had offered Hewitt and Hendrie less money than they were on, people would be cry arsing that we're losing our best players for cheap, yet we're supposed to have a bigger budget next season and still offered them less. If Fenty hadn't gone and I told you that both trust members on the board voted for May to invest in the club (first vote, where May told them his history), then there'd be a witch hunt out for them, but brush it under the carpet now. So far it seems to be much the same as before with some nice rhetoric in the background. And ultimately, I understand all of these things, but I don't understand why under different owners the reaction is different.

Did you represent Huntley and tell the court he was actually"a misunderstood nice bloke"??... honestly PP, give up with this now, trying tar 1878 with the same dirty brush as JSF, it's like comparing apples with bananas..

Look closer. Accounts 31 May 2007: "An agreement has been reached whereby this indebtedness of £650,000 will be repaid to J Fenty over a period of four years by way of pension contributions when the company is able to meet this commitment" I'm tired of the constant lies over two decades we've had from this coterie of lickspittle arsewipes that surround Fenty, the leper messiah. The facts and the evidence are all there in plain sight. The man was a toxic failure and kept this club in a state of paralysis to feed his own small-town ego. It is time he, his extended family and this dwindling band of sycophants were gone from this club and everything associated with it for good. You had your days in the sunshine, but we're all tired of you and your endless 'white knight' rhetoric. Take your propaganda and sod off elsewhere. Scunthorpe, perhaps?

Look closer. Accounts 31 May 2007:
"An agreement has been reached whereby this indebtedness of £650,000 will be repaid to J Fenty over a period of four years by way of pension contributions when the company is able to meet this commitment"
I'm tired of the constant lies over two decades we've had from this coterie of lickspittle arsewipes that surround Fenty, the leper messiah.
He told you he didn’t read it…remember, he ironically said that whoever wrote the piece has an agenda…if he had bothered to read he’d know…he didn’t. His point is invalid…

Here he is…
Can you ask John how Liverpool is? Worth a trip in the summer? How’s the tax situation too, must be causing him some stress, poor fellow…
I hear he is selling up and taking the Russian wife to live in Spain. Hope he chokes on his paella.

In fairness, I think the new owners should be allowed some leeway on the Season Tickets as I'm sure they'd want to review the whole situation and see if any improvements can be made.. this is understandable surely? With regards to Hendrie / Hewitt, how do you know they were offered less money? Personally find this hard to believe but happen to be proven wrong with actual facts..

All the happy clappers that backed him with he’s saved the club hold your head in shame. You have set this club back decades because of it.
I hold my hands up to say I was one of these. Purely through tinted glasses, especially off the back of 2006 with our nearly promotion. This, plus the promise of pastures new with a new stadium etc I was always giving him the benefit of the doubt. I honestly though he saved the club from the brink following the debt from championship relegation, but the articles on the Cod are such a rude awakening. But if you listen to some of the messages (contract offerings, penny pinching, fitted sink for female officials) you realise what a nasty piece of work that man really is.

Much like the claims that (although having not read it how would he know) CA have an agenda and much of it could be anecdotal, suggesting Hendrie and Hewitt have received lower contract offers is purely speculation and guess work… Given the obvious mess the club is in it’s understandable that it’s take a couple of weeks longer to sort out ST…probably more pressing issues behind the scenes…

Isn't Paul Hurst in charge of the budget and will therefore have had at least some input on what wages we offered to Hendrie and Hewitt? Hendrie came to us from League 1 and spent 3 seasons in a team at the bottom end of League 2.

I don’t think PP is ‘very well equipped’ full stop, DB, he must be compensating for a lack of something by continuing his sad agenda!

So more disinformation and lies from PP then? Just to correct him on another point. Theyve said season tickets will be on sale from 14 june, theyve also stated what some of the discounts will be and theyve also explained the delay by saying they wanted to see the results of the fans survey in case they'd missed something obvious, before releasing the full details
Ps pp really is ,like his master, a nasty piece of work. Not content with his obligatory digs at 1878 hes now trying to denigrate the trust

What is extraordinary about this (well, one of many things...) is that Fenty got all of his 2.5 mill back and also has a pension fund of almost 500k. At one point his net worth was estimated at 14 mill. Whilst laying waste to a once proud football club.

There was a great deal of animosity from GYFR when the pension payment issue was ever raised on here.
I suspect, though there's a lot to choose from, that it's an issue he's not terribly proud of.
Regards what PP says about contract offers to Hendrie and Hewitt, it's not really in anybody's interest to reward failure (we were relegated after all) with pay rises, is it?

Fair play to whoever is going through all these accounts and working it out. I had no idea that Fenty had pulled this stunt and basically taken control of the club and letting the club pay for it. He really is a first class pr1ck.
Any of the usual sycophants care to defend this?
Not new information about the way Fenty grabbed control by basically blackmailing Dudley Ramsden into giving him his shares. The option would have resulted in Town going into administration. That would most likely have been fatal.

No perhaps not new information but I certainly hadn’t realised that Fenty had effectively also got the club to pay him back. Actually makes my blood boil. He didn’t spend a penny taking control of the club, saddled it with debt in order to pursue a new stadium from which he could profit and his mismanagement ran the club into the ground. He’s had all the perks of being in charge for 17 years whilst overseeing a monumental failure, been an enormous tw@t in the process AND HE HAS MADE A PROFIT?! I wouldn’t p1ss on him if he was on fire.

I just don't get it...??? I'm sure if most of us received that sort of sum for selling our business and decided we wanted to get involved and be chairman of a lower league club then surely you would expect to lose a few mill in the process of trying to improve the club, invest and try and achieve success, otherwise what is the point? We have basically been treading water with absolutely no investment in the last 20 years and any money Fenty has put into the club, has been taken back out. Looks like it has cost him £35K for 20 years of stagnancy and the kudos of calling himself chairman. God knows how much wasted chasing a stadium that would never happen if he wasn't prepared to put his hand in his own pocket.. He should be embarrassed to call himself a town fan. So pleased we have new owners.

I was saying for years that he was not a fan , It was just a throne to sit on and as it turned out a free one . You could see him defeat after defeat leave his throne waving and smiling to his admirers , Shaking hands and grinning . used to make my blood boil . And dont think for one minute we have heared the last of him.. He will know what is being said and it is basically the fans that he will want to get back at. That is the sort of man he is, he will want his penneth of revenge for losing his throne and his look at me council job with all the trimmings

Careful, you’ll have our Welsh friend coming after you saying that your claims he’s not a fan are unsubstantiated and pure conjecture from folk with an agenda. Makes you think, if he is/was a fan he really didn’t actually care about the club very much…

Not really got into the mindset of a greedy conservative have you. Those of us who have been saying JFS was only in it for his own ends we denigrated and marginalised by the pro Fenty brigade.Well I only hope they can look themselves in the face in the mirror although I doubt it as such people lack any personal insight what-so-ever.

Oh God I hope so....we haven't got to Shorty and Shouty, the NL years and promotion, Hurst's departure, The Amond saga, rattling around at the bottom of the fourth division, Bignot, Jolley, Hollowhead, May and the final denouement. There's still a bit of life in the stadium! And as a bit of sideshow, the Principle Funder becomes El Presidente on the council and is put in charge of redevelopment. I'm laughing and crying at the same time....

In a previous job role I invited Fenty to a public event, in his defence he replied directly rather than through his council PA and he did attend, he even acknowledged that whilst I’d made my opinion known to him about his ineptitude at running the club, he acknowledged that I invited him to a public launch event… On the whole he was ok and was the only senior councillor to attend even though all were invited…then he started talking to people…🙈

The thing about high-quality con men is that they leave you knowing you haven't been conned. It's only later and in a lot of cases a lot later you realise you have.
