No Williams or Hendrie apparently, be interesting to see if Spokes and / or Jackson are given a start

As an avid darts fan tonight I will give it a miss for this important game. Players need to concentrate on winning, that's it, as what will be will be. UTM

Wish them all the very best, but side looks a bit thin.

Let’s hope there are 6 vacancies in EPL very soon. That’s what I would call a result. The greedy 6 will soon find that fans don’t want to watch manure v manshitty every week.

6 less teams in PL! Does that mean all teams would move up and no relegation?

Adlard ought to have a bit of weight on him...

...not many options from the bench though.

We're looking a bit threadbare for a tough game.

As long as they give it their all. And a bit of the rub of the green wouldn't go amiss.

Looks like we are down to the bare bones, though I could be wrong. Been so many players in and out this season I forget just who is on our books

We're starting to look composed. Few efforts looking good after 10 mins. Apart from early scare they don't look brilliant. Matete starting to look good again.

Rumours are that Chelsea are preparing to withdraw from the ESL and judging by the reaction of Supporters, Arsenal won't be going ahead either.

FFS. We need to make the ball stick up front, we keep exposing our back 4 to those sorts of counters

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

Lamy lost it and it's a goal. Couldn't blame Macca with two coming in on him. Not happening for Spokes and Lamy in midfield.

I know Hagrid

Hands up to that schoolboy error

Don’t know how I typed that ( but amended it now   )

Meant to say Morecambe 1-0 down yet they turned it around

Doubt we will do what they did and score three

What are you on about? This has been rubbish and we've let in two very poor goals in a game we really need to get points from if we want to stay in the league.

We’ve got nothing in midfield. Got a CM at RB. Going down with a whimper? These lads have fought their balderdash off for weeks

Badly missing Coke and Clifton in midfield, need to sub Lamy and Spokes. Waterfall in back 4 move Clifton to midfield and Jackson on.

Need a goal and soon.

I’m sorry but I’ve been a town supporter since the 70’s and it’s hard to stomach that Morecambe are a better team than us but they are. We need to finish this season and have a fresh start no matter what division we are playing in.

Not really. That would suggest we've been good 21 times!

We’ve not just lost Coke we’ve lost Clifton in that area of the park and replaced them with 2 players who are clearly good kids but in reality are still to be good enough for this kind of battle.

I thought it before the game and I definitely think it now, it was the wrong team. Could have brought Waterfall in to allow Hewitt to go right back and put Clifton in to CM. I'd have played Ira wide instead of Khouri (it's asking too much of him). It's all a bit moot as Colchester are playing us out of it but it's still disappointing nonetheless.

It’s ironic they we came back into the league that day versus Morcombe and they’re the ones who are putting one of the final nails in by the looks of it.

Waterfall against this quick Morecombe strike force would be suicidal.

Well that was poor. Hardly acceptable from any one of them in reality.
Lamy, Spokes and Khouri bringing nothing to the party, LJL doing his normal hard working but fluffing up, aimless tactics in use.
Players trudging off look defeated.

Going down with a sh1t show based on that 45mins.

Christ you all wanted him sacked a few months ago. 6th place finish and he's now the messiah and can do no wrong
Update:  I think I've got this right - He was the messiah. He then wasn't. He then was again. Then it turned out he actually wasnt. He turned into one big huge messiah again. Now he's not actually the messiah we thought he was . Now I'm hoping he rises again quickly

think DB got it right.Waterfall on, 3 at the back. Clifton into midfield replacing Spokes and Ira coming on to replace lamy on RHS. Khouri has actually been about the steadiest of all the midfield - certainly hasn't made as many mistakes

Nothing much in it really re chances, We have simply missed our chances (as usual) and they have finisherd theirs. Has Macca had to make a good save yet? or Morcambe missed a load of sitters -Bolton created far more on Sat than they have. We are down even if we win today (We were down when we lost at home to Stevenage)

Lamy looks like he’s not got a clue what’s happening unfortunately and the centre midfield just doesn’t look to have any confidence. LJL and Hanson have only one game and it’s not working.

Personally, I’d bring in ira instead of spokes to play behind the front 2

I can only say it's a great relief going into the second half absolutely relaxed and not like a cat on speed on top of a very hot tin roof. It's over. We're down. Acceptance is a great thing. It is as it it is. Cool.

That’s because he’s spent most of his time back trying to sort Hollowheads f**k ups out.

You mean Holloway's intercourse ups that have managed more points than Hurst has?

In the process of making us such a force in league 2 it’s interesting to see the impact they had on the great FA Cup run we had under Holloway.

Yeah get the points thing and you’re right about that, the fact you’ve got it in for Hurst isn’t lost on anyone on here.

It was ever thus. We've had plenty of opportunities in recent games but we haven't got the payers of sufficient skill to bury a decent percentage of them.

I’m not a fan of his but if he hadn’t have stuck out a leg and their player had scored he’d have been slaughtered.

Someone told me it was 3-0 more than two minutes before they (we) scored the third - it was on the BBC site

Just checked on the live BET365 timer and my iFollow is over 4 minutes behind the actual game

Simple I-Follow is about 3 minutes behind real time. Flashscores gives you instant goals.

3rd goal like their first is down to Spokes who lost it again. Why Hurst left him on I don't know. He was having a howler in the 1 st half never the second.

I'm not Hurst's biggest fan but he can't win sometimes.

Yesterday he picked Spokes over Rose, leaving us inexperienced, but early on in his reign when Spokes was nowhere to be seen there were people crying almost that Spokes is frozen out when he's the best thing since bread and butter! So now he plays him and he has a poor game Hurst gets criticised by the same people who only a few months ago were wanting Spokes to play.

Similar with Clifton in RB, if Hurst moved Hewitt to RB and put Waterfall in CB then he would get criticised for this...so he doesn't do it and he gets criticised for not doing it when we all know the reaction would be similar if he did do it!

Similar when we had him last time some of the abuse he got was way OTT namely Halifax away and the Hurst out banner which made an appearance after the first leg of the play off semi final.

People are happy criticising him for not doing what he wants them to do but when he finally does do what they want he still gets criticised for doing it and then they start crying and having sleepless nights about a 5 second ear cup he did, but no doubt they were proudly and passionately chanting "Hursty is a male masturbator" at Halifax away.

As I said at the head of this post I'm not his biggest fan but even still it is obvious to me he can't win and he gets some unfair stick at times.

Down, out & gutted.

Will take a few days to get over, and will hit again once official confirmed.

The only very very minor upside to last night, is we now know, and Hurst and Stockwood can get together and get this club moving in the right direction finally.

The fans will be back
The club will be back

With Stockwood, Pettit & Hurst, we will then move forward

If he does what the fans want and we win, the fans are geniuses.

If he does what the fans want and we lose, Hurst is a clown.
