Can't agree BD...hyes missed sitters in the  first half of 3 games so far.
He was never a great goal scorer before when he was with us but I'm not saying I don't like him, he holds the front line superbly but that's not enough really is it??

To me he looks heavy and always looks like he's blowing up, first or second half, looks like he's trying to catch his second wind all game. But, I agree, he's not a natural finisher even though he has the instinct to get into some decent positions..

I think it's his fitness level. If it's not there, balance and composure go out of the window when you're blowing out of your bottom..

I don’t think he’s the only one who’s only got 60/70 mins in them which is understandable I guess with all in’s/outs etc..

not gonna lie that was heartbreaking but felt almost inevitable. Couldve had 3 in the first half. Unsure as to why the goal was disallowed in the second half. Payne probably shouldn't have got a yellow card in the first place but didn't do himself any favours. Ref was disgraceful today seemed to make decisions at random (in Salfords favour obviously), didnt give us much and even so far as to deny us a goal scoring opportunity when Harry was through. Feels like another nail in the coffin which is depressing. I hope beyond hope we can pull out miracle but time is running out. Will try to keep believing until we are mathematically down.

Keep fighting lads

That's what frustrates me most....

If we was as anonymous as some of our other forwards in front of goal would he be singled out for such scrutiny?

At his age, he's never going to be any better than he already is.... a scoring instinct is just that.

Podge had it, Connell had it, Hearn had it. Sad to say LJL doesn't but that's not a criticism at all. Just a fact

8 games left.

i think we have to win at least 5 of those now.

Can't see it. We don't score enough. We must have the most goal shy forwards in the country.

Depends how many Colchester win and they aint won for an age.

Can't help feeling though that we have had it in our hands but late goals conceded and chances squandered have just about seen us off. A lot to do now, probably too much in reality.

My dad is trying to convince me that we’ll stay up by winning the last game of the season and denying Cambridge the title, but he’s my dad and even though I’m approaching my mid 50’s he still thinks he has to tell me a story to make things better.

Which would have led to the response 'Matt Green should have squared it rather than shot'.
