i know we disagree on a lot of things arry, but on this, you are spot on.
Could i add  to the sackable list - organising and attending 'proms' , using 'so' at the beginning of every reply in an interview and using the words 'thru' & 'program' etc.

Can we add ‘reach out’ to that list of offences?

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

If you look at that several times, it looks something was thrown at her, you can clearly see the missile.  This is clearly bs, it's plain for anyone to see that there is no baton and no fist, but something like an orange or apple.  A typical anti police post.

I think the orange "object" at the back of her head is actually a reflection of light against a lens......how it looks to me anyway.

What he's saying is that there isn't any evidence that they were 'professional rioters'. Missiles were available locally. We all know how police forces can lie about incidents. Ska has given you examples. We also know how they can over-react to protests, causing them to escalate (witness Clapham Common). We know how they can unjustly treat peaceful protestors (and innocent bystanders). We've all seen how they can operate at and around football matches.

Now I don't know who sparked it off in Bristol, but I have enough scepticism about the police from a lifetime of observations that I have my doubts about the official version.

Having said all that, I don't know why a police station was chosen as the scene of a protest, as it's Parliament that makes the laws.

Lots of missiles available locally? I have yet to see a pile of fireworks left randomly in the road or street that had been left over from a display. However I have seen fireworks used as "weapons" against members of the Emergency Services just doing the their's job.

Anyway......
As Montel has apologised I think it's time the protestors and police went home.
Dont quite understand why they all got that upset about him and his little reveal party anyway....not like he plays for either Bristol club.

How has something that has clearly come from behind her knocked her backwards with such force? Don't be such a simpleton.

Just popping in to let you know Avon & Summerset police have quietly admitted that no officers suffered any broken bones on Sunday, contrary to their initial claims.

So, you know, a lie.

Thanks & all the best.

I read yesterday that the police have now changed their story, so presumably, the people of Bristol should now have a vote of no confidence in the Chief Constable for spreading malicious gossip!

You also have to wonder why the Police waded into those sitting on the ground protesting. Let's face it they were going nowhere, it's nightfall and it would be getting colder. Surely it would have been better to leave them in situ till the morning. You also have to question why the police have resources for this action but didn't when people were having mass gatherings on beaches during the height of the covid epidemic.

Overreaction by the police when there was no need and lack of action when it was needed. The actions of the protesters would not have killed anyone, but those on beaches and in parks with no social distancing could have been fatal to  others.

Am I the only one that thinks mass gatherings were banned to prevent the spread of COVID?

We’re kicking off because a second rate footballer had a small group of friends over (which was wrong) yet people are justifying even larger groups protesting. When the third wave comes and lockdown is forced upon us AGAIN don’t go blaming the government because people can’t stick to simple rules

I thought this manipulation of the media (not sure if they were complicit or not) had vanished with the advent of camera phones. Reminds me of how the Hillsborough tragedy was reported and the persecution of Irish Catholics during the troubles.
