I looked at the forecast for Barrow this morning & thought then that the pitch drainage must be good for the game to be still going ahead - given the travel involved. The sheer incompetence (or malice?) of canceling an hour before kick off can only be compared to one other - 'best run club' - I can think of?

Priicks for leaving it so late. Bang out of order. Hope we smash them with a better team in the rearranged fixture and they go down with Stevenage

You can't buy them until one hour before. Probably why they called it off then so they wouldn't have the hassle of refunds.

Not true, purchased mine earlier today.

someone on FB said home team would have to meet the expenses.......

.....which got the thinking. Charge them for executve jet hire and make some dosh out of them. All you'd need is a serial fraudster to mock up an invoice. Wonder if anyone on the Board might know someone?

Isn't it down to the ref, he must have been aware of the weather forecast and should have been at the ground well in advance before kick off.

I would guess they'd have done absolutely everything they could to play us today whilst we're on the run of form we are and before we have the chance to make any additional signings.

Quote this back to me if we lose when it's eventually played, but I think this might be one of the first things that has worked in our favour this season.

To save a wasted journey for referees, they usually get a local ref in for early pitch inspections. Why it hasn't been done to save travelling, or at least turning the team bus around early, is anyone's guess.

Aye, that’s definitely not the case as I often purchase mine hours before the game. Hey ho, no more wasted than all the other tenners I’ve spent on Town this season!
