I assume one of these would have been the defender who is not now coming. So we are looking at one new face at best. It's going to take a huge effort from the current players to beat in form Southend. Let's see if they can step up.

There have been two players that we have been close to signing who joined a team we were about to play, or a team who had just beaten us. There's more than a touch of the Sir Humphreys or Francis Urquhart about this   Miss Scunthorpe. Not a beauty pageant, just sound advice.
