Assuming at some stage you have bought a house and had the nightmare of dealing with solicitors, searches etc. and the delay there can be between signing the draft contract and the final contract. Anything involving the exchange of contracts is never easy so no need for panic at this time.

We were told by people who know about these things that it can take 3 to 4 weeks after agreeing heads of terms for the transaction to be completed.

Also, this is the best offer Fenty is likely to get, so I can't see him walking away. if he did he would have to put his hand in his pocket big time to fund new players or else watch us drop out of the league. That would seriously devalue the club.

So I am not worried.

thought it might be timely to give this a bump, following today's Covid fine embarrassment.
We come out of it looking like a complete bunch of incompetents.
