Is the biggest appointment these clowns have ever had to make.
If they mess this up, they will be even worse off, than if they accepted the original deal....

Day still claims they will have money, so it needs to happen very quickly, as this team, except a handful, are just not good enough

Whilst I can’t see him accepting, I would have Hurst back in a heartbeat. Well organised, everyone knows their role, incremental improvements, and players who want to stay and play for him.

No way PH would take a 6-month rolling deal. I'd want 2 years in his position, no relegation clause either and a big bonus for staying up. He can practically name his price too as we're that desperate.

Mike Bassett would be the most appropriate choice.

No manager worth his salt would take the job with this board given our league position.

If I were Hurst and I was approached by the current regime my response would be: "Naaaaaàaar..."

If the board had the money why hold off until we are in the shite to say we have money, I'll believe it when I see it and I'm still waiting for the hairs to stand up on my neck from Fenty's claim a season or so ago.

Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

If they want to stay up Hurst is as good a shout as anybody, for the remainder of the season the quality of the football is irrelevant, been crap anyway, so it’s just results that count. Hurst, Alexander or the Cowleys all probably capable of sorting out the defensive side of things. Get Scannell, Wright fit and 2 reasonable strikers in and we might score some goals but whether it will be enough who knows. Maybe should just look at a heavily bonussed short term appointment with the sole aim of keeping us up and review at the season end.

Trouble is it’s hard to get any enthusiasm up for a new Manager which is ridiculous given our current plight.

I don’t even think Lisa in the ticket office would take this job on. No disrespect intended to her.
