thanks for posting the link poojah.1 other interesting thing mentioned was they spent 5k on getting /keeping Clarke- Harris fit & injury free.
Quite a contrast to the 'help' our beloved chairman gave to our injury plagued youngster. Or maybe getting a part time job with Tescos is somehow classed as helping Max's recovery

Works out about £160 a goal....

Playing it out some hypothetical scenarios here....let's say we invested £25,000 this season on proper strength and conditioning over the course of the season.  intercourse it, £50,000!

How many more games would we have got from Max Wright this season?  How important could he have been coming off the bench in the last 20 minutes of games, especially in the last few months, when we needed an outlet.

How many more games would we have got from James Hanson, a Hanson who was fully fit and offering a physical presence and a goal threat?

What would our defence have looked like with a Luke Hendrie who didn't look like he was carrying an injury for the whole season?

£50,000 against a £1,000,000 shortfall next season.

You invest a penny, you save a pound.  Problem is we've saved a penny to lose a pound for the last 18 years.

Thanks for the link
When you listen to that guy articulating such a clear, well thought out strategy it makes me angry about the last 15 years and excited about the future in equal measures.

Get them running on the beach in an icy, winter gale.  That will kill or cure them.  This cheapskate option will not cost the Chairman a penny either. Maybe a hot drink afterwards to thaw out.

(Only joking.  We are still stuck in the time when the Main Stand was built).

There's actually nothing wrong with this as long as it's part of a properly thought out fitness programme supported by good recovery, good nutrition and the right support for injuries.

It's bad when it's all they do and is supported by a cup of Bovril and the physio rubbing Deep Heat into a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament! ( and I'm not suggesting that's what Dave Moore does).

I seem to remember that was the 'reward' for a poor Saturday performance, especially when they had to in on the Sunday.

hmmm - think you, chairman Darren and Peterborough media are all part of a false truth conspiracy. Thank god there are still beacons of light and truth like Filipe Noche to assure us that we won't be getting any money whatsoever for Dembele because the sell on clauses etc have all lapsed

I'm with you on this Forza - deffo fake news!

Expected to leave according to Barry Fry:

“He’s got a year left on his contract and we’ve made him what we consider to be a lucrative offer but there has been a lot of interest in him, and I don’t think he’ll sign a new contract with us. The club’s policy is if you’re in the last year of your contract, and the club offers a contract and you refuse it, we put you on the transfer list. We’ve had bids worth millions for Dembele and rejected them.”

That’s sounds very positive for us, wish it was anybody else but ‘Honest’ Barry Fry saying it though!

Very much so. If you had 10 dumper trucks full of salt it still wouldn’t be enough for the size of pinch you would need for anything that comes out of his mouth.
