I’m really surprised by how accepting some people are of poor quality and mediocrity. That attitude won’t help us retain our EFL status.

Bradford didn’t even have to get out of second gear to beat us on our own patch. These are the games that we need to be winning.

A loss to Southend and now to Bradford is hugely concerning.

I think this acceptance of poor/mediocre players, managers, performances and lack off ambition comes from the top and permeated down to a lot of fans.
So the sooner the supreme leader felicitations off the better.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Obviously we have the same keeper as non league but there are several of our last Wembley final team who would walk into this team. Nearly all of them in fact.

Ira Jackson should start every game until the end of the season (unless injured).
And the team should provide him with chances - simples

Hewitt's proven himself at centre back so having needed a centre back, we can allocate budget elsewhere if necessary, if not, a pacey centre half needed..

Need a left back, an extremely mobile and combative centre mid and two pacey forwards, all better than we've got already..Fonkeu looks like an upgrade, so that's one in the bank..

Jackson out of his depth..
Gibson a division too high

Get them both loaned out at the very least..

Green not good enough, way past his best, and at his best he was League Two standard anyway..
Hanson a crock

None of those four would get a full-time professional contract anywhere next season, so why are they here?

Pay them off if it helps the budget and send Gomis, Taylor and Morton back if we can..

If we can achieve this and sign upgrades, we'll be ok in this league..

I don't think us acceping it or not on here is going to make much difference.

We desperately need a quality league 2 striker to lead the line. I think Gibson or Jackson can do a job as a second striker but they are so raw to play them together. Likewise I think Spokes and Rose could be a decent CM combo with the energy and physicality of Spokes complimented by Rose's experience and calmness (with the exception of a dreadful penalty concession every couple of games). Think the last two games has also shown that Pollock and Waterfall are decent League 2 centre backs but not a partnership. Hewitt has dovetailed nicely with both despite playing out of position just for being more comfortable on the ball and more mobile.

Im trying to think of how many of our present side would get into that Wembley side. You can make a pretty good case for none.

Send back Gomis, Morton, Taylor and Bennett. Release Hanson, Green, Gibson, Sissay. Replace with four who will be first team starters. Easy said but hopefully Ollie’s red hot phone might call the right numbers in this window.

Hagrid, Morais knocked four great balls across first half and Jackson didn't get across his man once.. Other strikers not on our books would have had the instinct and movement to get to at least two of them..

I know! Possibly Hendrie and Pollock. Beyond that I’m struggling.
