What a fantastic obituary. He was a great poster on here and clearly an all-round wonderful bloke. He will be sorely missed. Condolences to his family, I hope they can take some comfort from the fact that he was so well liked and respected. And his chilli relish was superb!

A very nice bloke he always had me scratching my head when he played the word games on here. He told me he went on countdown and was a three times winner no wonder he was good at our game.

He will be missed by many both sides of the border.

A very fitting tribute to a man I was proud to call a friend. It still hasn't sunk in that when normal GTFC service is resumed I won't be getting my orders to attend some real ale pub when Town are playing anywhere north of Manchester.

Miss ya buddy x

What a positive tribute to something that's sad. To pass away in your mid 60's feels way too short these days. Jock was a well respected and balanced poster on here and will be missed

Fantastic tribute; when someone who has done so much good passes, it should be a spur for us to always try to do a little bit more good in our lives...

Very good obituary to a well respected poster, that obituary helps paints a picture of the kind of man he was and it seems he was a caring hard working bloke strived to help others, a sad loss of somebody who had a lot more to bring to people's lives.

Maybe we can put a few quid together for a Town crest or something to send up to Auchinleck Talbot clubhouse to mark his passing; he did loads and loads for others?

'I walked in the dressing room. The window was open and I thought that a sea fret had got in. Then I saw smoke billowing from a pipe in the corner of the room...it was my centre-forward. He looked seven stone wet through. He went on to score thirty-odd goals that season.' Lawrie McMenemy on encountering the legend that was Matt Tees.
