What on earth has AL got to do with anything? Ollie doesn't want him, if he did then he would be here...

As for what's happened with Scannell, I think Ollie should have kept quiet. Deal with it in house and not give vague comments that he's not happy with who he is as a person, which fuels speculation that is never helpful.

You have clearly missed Ollies comments about how Ben and AL are much better at planning training than him and how 'we all miss Anthony'. In some situations a bit of 'good cop' 'bad cop' can reduce conflict. It won't be easy down at Cheapside making our large squad feel valued as individuals especially with so many travelling in and others lodging away from friends and family.
Add to that Ollies ' Mr. Angry'  PR then perhaps we do miss the smiling Aussie?

Not necessarily AL but I think we’re missing another body/brain at cheapside.

What makes me wonder is why is it taking some of the new signings so long to get fit.

Injuries apart did they do any training before we signed them if not why not ?

Ollie isn't daft, he has a wealth of managerial experience to call on. I am sure he will be able to sort it (whatever "it" is), in the club's interest.
He is sometimes too honest for his own good in interviews, maybe he should perhaps bit his lip a bit more and say nowt. It only fuels the drama queens on here.

Because they were either ,lazy in lockdown,  without club , from non league , getting older , just general English lower league professional footballers and not Christiano Ronaldo.
i think Oliie said that our own players had been looked after well and monitored in lockdown which when you look at the general fitness levels of the squad now (injuries apart) Clifton, Pollock, Waterfall, Hendrie have looked fully capable of doing 90 mins....the loanees and new signings certainly don't.... with the exception of Preston.
How we are training or monitoring them all now i dont know but you would think their levels should be there now as we have completed an equivalent of pre season now.

I am sure I will get red crosses, but I did say that Scannell has had a poor record of playing.
Talented player but either his body is not up to the stresses of modern footy or he is faking it.
I don’t know what the answer is but there were plenty of warning signs before he signed

I hope I am proved wrong.

Ollie....GrimsbyLive today...

On Sean Scannell, Holloway said: "He's got a sore ankle which has been causing us a few problems."

On why he is seemingly not in his good books, Ollie added: "That's for something else, stop fishing - you're not going to know about that."

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Which would have come up in his pre-contract medical surely?
