'71. (Released 2014)

Film about the troubles in Northern Ireland. Soldier gets separated from his unit in a Irish nationalist area and has to survive.

Very gritty and realistic.

I liked it immensely.

8/10

Agreed 8/10. A very good film.worth anyone’s time. Jack O’Connell is very good and is underrated for my money.
If you haven’t seen it already I’d give ‘fifty dead men walking’ a go. Also a good film.

Thanks for the recommendation. No I haven't seen that film. Will check it out. Just googled it and good to see Ben Kingsley stars in it. In the parts Ive seen him play before in films eg" sexy beast released in 2000" thought he came across as a polished actor.

His role in sexy beast is one of my favourite psychopath performances. The menace he achieves with minimum effort is brilliant.

Has anyone seen the Coach's Playbook Rules for Life on Netflix? (A 5-part series so not really a film)
I've found it interestingly good and it tells you about the coaches insight/love for the game from the coaches themselves inc. The Special One

71 is a very good and interesting film.  I watched it again recently with a different perspective.

I also like Zodiac - I have to as my wife can watch a number of times.  And there is still no final answer.

Table 19 (2017).
5/10

Eloise, having been relieved of maid of honor duties after being unceremoniously dumped by the best man via text, decides to attend the wedding anyway, only to find herself seated with five fellow unwanted guests at the dreaded Table 19.

Watched this with my better (aside from film choices) half. Phoebe from friends, Daryl from the American office, Anna Kendrick and the rest of the cast do their best with what they have to work with but it’s not great. Seen worse but My advice-don’t bother!
