Watched Sex Ed the other night. Unusually for an American film the guy didn’t get the girl in the end, which immediately puts it in a class of its own 😁. But it did work out fine in the end through other means.

Serious point about the film, which applies equally to the UK, but not most grown-up countries.

Exceptional film. One of my favourite films of recent times.

First Man
6.5 /10

A Biopic on the life of the legendary American Astronaut Neil Armstrong from 1961-1969, on his journey to becoming the first human to walk the moon. Exploring the sacrifices and costs on the Nation and Neil himself, during one of the most dangerous missions in the history of space travel.

I had high expectations for this film and was mildly disappointed and at times bored during it. Armstrong was portrayed as not particularly likeable and it was perhaps a tad too long.

Wrath of man
7/10

Mysterious and wild-eyed, a new security guard for a cash truck surprises his co-workers when he unleashes precision skills during a heist. The crew is left wondering who he is and where he came from. Soon, the marksman's ultimate motive becomes clear as he takes dramatic and irrevocable steps to settle a score.

Standard Statham fare and of course it’s absolutely bull5hit but enjoyable nonetheless.

Those who wish me dead
6/10

A teenage murder witness finds himself pursued by twin assassins in the Montana wilderness with a survival expert tasked with protecting him -- and a forest fire threatening to consume them all.

Turn your brain off nonsense that’s rescued just about by it’s cast and director. Not up to Taylor Sheridans normal work which is high quality but hey ho, there we are.

The Wipers Times has just been on down here again. Great stuff based on a real satirical magazine produced on the Western Front in WWI. Sort of an early 20th century Private Eye. Think Hislop was involved in the original stage version.
8/10

Saw Goal(2005) the other day again. Great  film about a poor Chilean who comes good in the world of professional football. Goal 11:Living the dream (2007) is decent as well. Many on here may have seen it but in my view its one I can watch again and again. Most young kids dream to live the dream and become a  professional footballer especially in the upper echelons of the game.

One life,one love .

On Sony Movies Classic now, The Victors. 1963 US (anti)war film about a squad of US infantry in NW Europe 1944-45. Interspersed with upbeat newsreel that usually contrasts starkly with the reality for the men on the ground. Has a memorable Christmas 1944 execution scene to the tune of Christmas classic songs.

Seen it before and we’ll worth watching again.

9/10 maybe a 10.
