I'm no longer local, but I've some friends coming up on Saturday, can anyone recommend a good fish an chip take away on the front? We usually go to Steele's/Beckett's. but I'm assuming there's similar standard along the front?

A lot of the chippies have long queues at the weekend, Papas on the Pier are doing Click and Collect which might help.

Avoid Papas, staff are saying on Twitter that they haven't been paid a penny through lockdown, allegedly.

Ernie Becketts are doing call and collect which means you get to jump the queue when you arrive. Just call a few hours in advance as they only have a set number of slots.

Thank you for the replies and advice, I'm sure whatever place they choose it'll be an inprovement on the fish and chips around Northampton!

Had Steels takeout today. Absolutely lovely. Heard how some of the staff have been treated at another very large establishment. They won't be getting my custom in the future.
