Thought that would happen. All the participants could be tested prior to coming into contact with each other and isolated upto the match - or isolated for the complete period. I would choose ifollow rather than sit next to that bloke with the snotty nose, coughing and spluttering all over and complaining of headache ( and kissing me when we score )

Well if you’d told me sooner I’d have changed my season ticket 😕

there's no chance the season is going to be finished. How do they ensue player/staff safety? They're just going to have to abandon it.

There’s no time limit for completing this season though so don’t see why it wouldn’t be completed given we’re 75% through a league season.
Say this season in abandoned and we start a new season and this time next year the same thing happens?
The way Philip Day is talking he seems to be under the impression that STH can be given free access to iFollow if we resume behind closed doors and everything will be okay.
It won’t be. STH will need refunding for the games that are being held behind closed doors. We have 5 home games remaining so that’s 5/23 = a 21.7% refund.
I appreciate some people won’t like that. However we all pay for a service and it that isn’t provided then customers deserve to be refunded for the part of the service they didn’t receive.

All those players that signed pre contract agreements, will they still have their contract?
This is where the ‘bowman’ ruling doesn’t work in my opinion. But, hopefully, it will put an end to the ridiculous wages that many players are paid and , hopefully, a proper feasibility study into what players are paid. Football WILL probably change as we knew it

Disagree, it will be finished . Why start a new season when we already have a part completed one ? Too much money involved and too many decisions to make by writing it off

What if refunding season ticket holders was the difference between the club surviving or going under?

Exactly, I for one will certainly not be demanding my money back, if the club decide to reduce the cost of a future ST as compensation fair enough. Thats if i,m still around to get one.

As far as I am concerned if needed I am more than happy to write-off my ST if it helps the club.
Most of the remaining games worked out for free anyway.

The club need the money (which left our wallets like 10 months ago) more than ever. Whatever happens now it belongs to them as far as I am concerned. Rather that than not having a club to support at all.

Why would the club refund the money? It’s not their fault. You’ve already paid the money out so you’re not missing something you didn’t have

It's not the fault of the season ticket holders either. All League One season ticket holders were refunded (one way or another) for losing a home match because of Bury being expelled. Personally I wouldn't expect the money back as a refund if the remaining 5 league games are played behind closed doors. I would be happy for the money to be discounted off our season tickets for 2020/21 season.

It wouldn't be. Season ticket sales were around the 2,500 sold / £550,000 mark this season. STHs would be entitled to refunds totalling around £120,000 if games were either cancelled or played without fans. £120,000 is not going to make much difference to a club given that every season Fenty takes £200-250k out of the club to repay his "benign" loans, the PL have agreed to forward future solidarity payments for next season early and as soon as we're back the club can start selling season tickets for next season. Remember also, the club has reduced running costs through the shutdown by furloughing all staff. Belts will need to be tightened. Ex-Chairmen will have to wait to take further funds out of the club. But the clubs isn't in danger of going under in the short-medium term.

Depends what in the t-c's. I'd be very surprised if they are legally obliged to. Tickets for postponed games are typically valid for the rearranged date. If you can't make it possibly refund or credit etc.

Another question arises. If games restart in June and July (whether with crowds or behind closed doors) would 3PM be a suitable kick-off time? Would a later kick-off time be more appropriate for the time of year. Maybe 6PM to avoid the hottest part of the summer days?

Of course the club will legally be obliged to refund ticket holders should matches be cancelled or played behind closed doors.

I think our club is well positioned to completely hibernate until further notice. Our main liability is wages which has been taken care of quickly. We don't pay any rent for our ground. We're unlikely to be paying any tax this year. The vast majority of our debt doesn't accrue interest and is highly flexible. The only foreseeable costs are building maintenance and season ticket refunds which could be covered by emergency funds / further director loans if necessary. Other clubs might not have it so easy. I'm glad that we're in a relatively secure position.

I understand a lot of the speculation has arisen mainly through boredom and the need to fill journalistic voids.
But it seems pointless really debating what's going to happen when we're in no real position to determine when and if any football can resume, never mind this season.
I've written off my season ticket purchase. If I get a refund or discount on the next season, great. But I can't say I've given it a lot of thought. Not when people are dying or losing their livelihoods.
The season itself, does it really matter when it finishes? If we don't finish it until December then so be it. New season starts in March and runs until November, maybe that's a more suitable way to play the seasons in future, who knows?

Perhaps the powers that be could realign the next couple of seasons to accommodate the world cup then get back to normal.
