I suppose you can't be too careful !!!

"Switzerland has cancelled football matches, carnival celebrations, concerts and the Geneva International Motor Show in a drastic bid to stem the country's new coronavirus outbreak in its  early stages.
The government announced it was suspending all public and private events  with more than 1,000 participants until at least March 15th, invoking emergency  powers to do so."

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

According to David Icke who is a strange person but does not tell lies,

In the province where the virus started in China there are two germ warfare chemical factories,

Makes you think.

IF there’s a conspiracy about this I’d put my money on the Americans spreading it in China to slow their economy down. Iran has been hit badly too. The only surprise* is it hasn’t hit the third member of the central powers, Russia.

* or is it? 😆

China makes up about 20% of the world economy. Deliberately knackering their economy would only knacker your own so no need for conspiracy theories. The Russkies are rather xenophobic so probably don't travel east all that much. Possibly a reason why there hasn't been much going on there? On the other hand, they are probably authoritarian enough to keep any outbreak hush hush!

It was tongue in cheek Maringer. But as for no one being stupid enough to knacker their own economies this way, we’ll ..... no comment 😄

We're on the third generation of the fantastically named snowflakes now where everything is a drama.
The buzzword this week is self isolation, or as we used to call it, stop in if you're a bit sniffly.

With a potential 1% mortality rate in the event of a major pandemic, it's a bit more than being a 'bit sniffly'. Unless you think half a million additional deaths in the UK is nothing to be concerned about? Most of the deaths would be in the elderly and those with pre-existing health problems, but it would still be enough to pretty much break the NHS in the shorter term and would quickly overwhelm resources of the local authorities. And that's assuming that there isn't any further mutation in the disease. SARS had a mortality rate around 10%, MERS around 35%.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Well how much will I get to stay away from games?

3 cases reported near here:
  • School in North Kingston
    School in Wimbledon
Office in Norbiton (another bit of north Kingston). Ironically a travel agency.
