After last night's game I make that 6 goals that Podge has scored against us since he left in 2016. Has any other ex-Town player scored more goals against us after leaving I wonder?

I make Palmer out to have 5 against us (trawling through soccerbase)

If we had a front two of Palmer and Podge we would be a force to be reckoned with

I've said it before, I'd love us to sign Palmer.

What does Palmer offer that Hanson doesn't?

A bit more youth and pace from Palmer though he's obviously not got the overall record of Hanson. He's got a pretty good record since joining Crawley, it must be said.

If Hanson can keep going next season, he'll still be a useful player, but we need somebody decent as a backup because Green and Cardwell aren't up to the task. I'm assuming having another biggish striker as a like for like replacement is preferable, though I suppose the manager might have other ideas!

Holloway's Blackpool team had DJ Campbell as the striker central of the 3. Full of pace and movement. And the way we are playing doesn't need a huge target man to challenge in the air. So i wouldn't just expect IH to bring in another big man. In fact I'd be surprised if he did while Hanson is with us.
