FFS why drag politics into a discussion about our manager!!!

Whatever. It’s the first interview that he’s been disrespecting, maybe irrational and maybe slightly out of control. Does that tarnish his lustre? Probably not, but should make a few lower their expectations a little.

Very honest interview.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

I bet Alex Ferguson was never rude to journalists.
It’s called passion ffs and I would hate our manager to be anything else other than passionate

Unbelievable - Olly gives a post match interview after a defeat to the top team and some posters start to question his response! My God there are some kippers on those site!

Almost exclusively the same people that thought Ogbu was a good player....

Heard a programme with Holloway on TalkSport(On The Sporting Couch?) a few weeks back in which he explains he struggles with anger issues. There isn’t a grown man alive who hasn’t lost their composure when things aren’t going their way - the strength and regularity varies man to man. I’m willing to let him off this time but don’t make a habit of it.

Can’t believe some of the posts on this thread. The best thing to happen to Town in years and people are ripping him for getting a bit arsey with a journo. FFS. Ok then, get rid of Ollie and get in a manager who kisses bottom with the press and gets us nowhere. Let’s see how that works!  Honestly don’t understand some people on here.

Who is suggesting getting rid of him?

You can still be really pleased with Ollie, very much supportive and say that it was a bit out of order to respond to JT like that.

I'm really happy with the guy, but am wary of him being built up as some sort of messiah... which, judging by the hysterical reaction to people saying he was OTT in a post match interview ("he was a bit strong to JT you say? WELL WHAT ORHER MANAGER DO YOU WANT THEN?!), people are hero-worshipping him to a ridiculous level. Thou shalt not criticise, even mildly, the actions of the great one.

Bit less black and white (pun intended) partisanship please: you can really like our new manager whilst criticising some things.
