If you look closely the refs we get are either the likes of Kettle, Woolmer, Salisbury (Snr), Boyeson and Kinseley who are past there best, or the young kinds on the block like Neild, Marsden, Bramall, Edwards, Wright, Finnie and Hair. All the  better refs have been promoted to SG2
