Cardwell out for the season, sadly for him out of contract too.

Thought he'd signed a new 3 year deal in the summer?..not the best bit of business by Jolley I have to admit..

Shame for cardwell could've kick started something for him. Just never one that won over the supporters. Wish him all the best for the future but, I would say that's the last we've seen of him

If you listen to Holloway's pre-match press conference he all but says he told Cardwell to go and prove himself and prove to Holloway he's worth keeping, unfortunately with the injury and his contract being up in summer I suspect he's a gonner..
In all honesty, for as much as never want to see anyone fail or be out of work, he's just never cut it at league level.
Wish him all the luck and hope he gets sorted out with a club but cannot see that being with GTFC.

He slammed one in for Chorley straight away do maybe he can do a job in the National League for someone if he recovers okay. If not I'm sure he more than capable in Conference North, and he can maybe build up again from there. Time is on his side he still pretty young.

He might earn a decent living as the new Gareth Seddon.

Just out of interest, I see Dayle Southwell has signed for Kings Lynn who are now 4 points clear with games in hand at the top of National North. They beat 2nd place York on Saturday.

It would be nice to see Dayle get back on track, he hasn’t really shone since he he had that brilliant 2 seasons at Boston after he left us.

To be fair to the lad he was never really given much of a chance.

Over the past few years we have persisted with playing some crap players who I wouldn't have played in the reserve team..
