Looks a promising signing. I, like others, like the way Olly speaks about things. Very positive. And driving down to Brighton to meet the lad's parents is old school - positively Clough-like. Also like the fact he's been out and about drumming up support.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

A trixy-dixy winger

A long time since we saw one of those Ollie!

i wonder if Akheem might get sent out on loan? he's potentially been pushed quite far down the pecking order now (2 new attacking player, cooke, green and hanson returning from injury), and it did Vernham the world of good

Sounds like a good idea. Rose seems to have a number of good attributes but doesn't really read the game as yet. Perhaps not too surprising as he wasn't able to play competitively for a long time while we were trying to sort out his visa.

Another loan period at somewhere like Boston could certainly help him develop with less pressure on him to be an instant success.

Hi Ipswin  - re your post of 13th,  I'm sure it was Matt Tees & GK Charlie Wright who went to Charlton for a combined fee of £15k.  At the time I was so depressed that our two star players had gone for such a paltry fee - but recently discovered that at the time we/the directors were apparently in dire financial straits.
Ah well its such a long time ago now - could be wrong.

It was Matt Tees and Rodney Green that went to Charlton as a double signing.
