Can't believe Andrade has joined Salford how can you leave a league 1 team for peanuts although I don't know the fee it's undisclosed.  I'd want atleast a million for him.

Not sure if you are getting him mixed up - He is decent on his day, and was good in L2 last year but he has done little in L1, though he has been injured for weeks, He had 6 months and for that contract time i think we got a decent fee. But we can't afford 6k a week. I imagine a coupke of our players Walker and Morrell are on 5k, but they stand out for us at this level. Salford will end up in the championship being watched by 3k home fans. Bit silly really

When talking about wingers don't forget Mike Brolly and Diddy Dave Gilbert. What a pair of wingers they were .

Dropping down a league? Hope his career isn’t Free Fallin’, etc etc

He can't get in our side. I actually like him, very creative and played for us last year a lot. We have just got an West Ham lad who has just signed a 3 year deal with West Ham and is highy rated so that has pushed him further down the pecking order and we would most probably need to free some ages. We signed 4 on Friday so need to get rid of a few - He is good though - Hence Swindon, who are top want him too..

Nobody has mentioned Brian Hill from the 1960s.  I just about remember him.

The Cowleys wanted a million for him in the summer though, didn't they? As far as I remember they pretty much said their incoming transfers would depend to a certain degree on how much they could get for him.

L1 seems to be a bit of a glass ceiling for these pet projects too so they'll have to do something the likes of Rushden and Diamonds, Crawley and Fleetwood all failed to do if they're to get to the second tier.

Brian Hill and Bobby Cummings stood out for me, Dougie Collins was a bit slow, but had a trick or two. Always remember John Fielding goal at home to Hull, supposed to be a cross from the right wing and straight into the goal,

What I meant was the line virtually meets up with the dugout areas so no room there and the linos need room so I believe the BP pitch as it its maximum dimensions already.

If you need space out wide you need to have a system in place to make room, something Buckleys teams could do

That’s not entirely correct, I seem to remember the touch lines were moved inward a couple or three seasons back.
I think I remember 400mm each side being mentioned.
