A decade on...!

So we finished 2009 in 23rd place in L2; a decade on we are 21st. Not much progress but it’s been a hell of a ride in between!

By my calculations, with this board still in charge, we'll eventually be top half League Two last game of the year 2069 having played another 30 seasons in the Conference in the meantime. There will be a further five Portakabins at Cheapside, 19 more photos of JF pointing to random pieces of land in the Grimsby Evening Telegraph and only another 21 years left before the current catering contracts run out at BP. The thirty seven caretaker managers in that period will keep up the record of never having won a game under JF and the Mighty Mariner costume still won't have had a wash..

It’s like a never ending hostage situation where half the captives are rattling their shackles on the radiators in anguished torment while the other half have Stockholm Syndrome and are telling everyone to be thankful they’re not worse off.

The club that was always used by the apologists was Stockport. They don't seem to mention them nowadays as they could rise above us in May, and they'll not dare to mention York in the very near future too..
