Yeah......"Video Match pass" for the £10 if it goes ahead.

It also looks like the two home games over Crimble and the new year (Crawley, Salford) are also available for the £10 in the UK.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Can't blame the telewag GR...it's the EFL and the lack of a "ground safety certificate" that's put it in jeopardy...
I hope it is played as boxing day matches are my lad and mines Xmas day and we always do the game wherever it's played

Honest quesltion.        How does a safety certificate run out half way through the season ?

I would have thought these things were sorted in the summer.

The only answer I could possibly put forward is that they didn't have one at the start of the season and due to all the ongoing issues somebody(the EFL) have dug deep into the club and discovered yet another problem that they can spank them with ..

Nobody knows if the game is on yet, not even Macclesfield fans. Their Chairman has kept quiet about it and hasn't issued any statements regarding the game. Just read the Maccy forum and it doesn't look good for them, you have to feel sorry for the fans having a sh@t Chairman, ahem

It doesn't a safety advisory board meet before a game or a host of games if they are close together . the Board is made up of the Club, Local Council, Police and ambulance representatives and issue a safety certificate for each game based on what precautions are in place for each game,  on top of this the ground itself has an Assessment before the start of the season to make sure it meets all the legal and safety requirements. this certificate can also be revoked at the Safety advisory board meetings if something changes that could put safety in doubt.

I believe that the only time you cannot screen matches on iFollow is on a Saturday between the hours of 2:45 pm and 5 PM.  I might be wrong though.

There's a statement on the Macclesfield site from their chairman. He says the Plymouth game is definitely on. We should add them to the "it could be worse, we could be xxxx" list

Surely if their ground is not up to scratch couldn't another ground be loaned to facilitate the game?...what about Gigg Lane?..
Or better still, speak to the EFL about allowing the game to go ahead at BP??...

Plymouth game didn't happen as EFL refused to allow it to be held behind closed doors and EFL want assurances that the issues raised are addressed shortly to allow the boxing day game to be held. If they dont receive that assurance from the advisory group today or tomorrow then likely game will be called off.

Look on the bright side looks like they will be docked another 4 points for the plymouth game being called off and back to facing the EFL discipinary committee if the boxing day game is called off with a possible further 10 point deduction!

Also hear that the proposed takeover there may not be happening which will cause them problems when they are back in court facing the HMRC winding up order.

Can't see any positives from yet another established football league club going into the abyss from p!ss poor ownership..
Feel for the fans, they are the ones that suffer as I no doubt the owner will scurry off into the mist and carry on with his life with no regard to the devastation he's left behind....shocking to see this happening again, let alone twice in one season..

What a sad inditement when fans see it as a positive when a club has points removed for mismanagement.
Once again totally outside the control of the people who pay every week to see their team.
Totally embarrassing that people want a club to go out of business to save our sorry state.

Here's a very interesting comment from that thread

The really irritating thing is that people like Guy Branston writing in the League Football paper don't really know what the situation is, talk about sustainability and liken us to Bury who way overspent their means. Our case is completely different as we have a very low budget which is within our means but it is the owner who is drawing money off this income and has jeopardised the whole future of our club.

Any parallels that we can draw??

I don't know the exact situation of their owner, but there is a subtle difference between drawing money [as in a premium] from the income and drawing your own money from it like JF.

Just for the record I do not want to see any club fold to keep us within the football league.

However, their demise is beyond our control and unfortunately benefits us and other clubs near the bottom.

I think it's terrible that due to administrative member ups a club should lose points, points are available for each game played, win lose or draw and that should be the only way a club can gain points, not losing any. At this rate if the mighty Man U look like getting relegated from the premier the authorities will give them points bonus for running such a good hospitality unit.

Their owners "bought" MUFC with leveraged debt, and have taken hundreds of millions of pounds out of it since doing so. A fit and proper way to run a club.

Yes, and the club is now worth probably 5 times what they " bought" it for, if you have a bit of money clever  people can make more. Just ask our non chairman.
