Surely Fenty won't let these two get their hands on GTFC

I wouldn't discount it

John Tondeur was saying last week that if Colin Dodd did come in it might allow Fenty to keep his hand in, in some way

Never say never when it comes to anything to do with Town

Fair contrast with the other rumoured party. None of us know much about Shutes whereas we've all seen Alan Hardy's member.

Didn’t Hardy file for bankruptcy? At the very least I know his shop fitting company Paragon Interiors is now in administration as they did some work this time last year for some of my business partners. Not sure if that stops him being involved or not, hope so as he’s a complete tool.

Let’s face it, at face value GTFC is worth jackshit, so we’re not exactly likely to attract a prime investor are we? Either it’s Shutes who sees us as a vehicle to make money out of property investment or it’s the likes of Hardy and his pals who’ve done it before, without success.

Whichever way, neither are terribly palatable but then neither is staying the same.

When JF finally leaves I'd like a little plaque putting up as a tribute. A nice simple message like "Some people say his reign was a disaster but look at York and Wrexham and he also never got his member out on twitter".

The articles only cover the disasters, cons, lies and failures they know about; why would we want to prostitute the club we love, to people like this?

if there was ever a lesson to be learned about how not to run a football club this was it.

Wow, maybe they could team up to add to the already brimming with content How Not To Run A Football Club by John Shelton Fenty.

Foreward by Alan 'Ivor' Hardy.

Also, I'm pretty certain he wouldn't be able to resist upon being informed about us toxic Fishy cretins...

Wonder what username he would sign up with?

Ivor Hardy, getyourcockpicsright, Captain Codpiece or something else? 🤔

Perhaps if Fenty gets someone in worse than him he thinks we'll look back at his 'legacy' more fondly?

Kinda like the rumour Fergie wanted someone excrement in at Manure after him to make him look good?

To be honest Rik I have been thinking the same. A sort of perverse going away present.

No point in worrying about the lesser of two evils though; people learn from their mistakes and make a success of things second time round, just as someone who looks fabulous on paper can make a mess of it.

Fenty has never been away from it to learn any mistakes, which is perhaps one reason he has made the same mistakes continually.

Of course we can't hang anyone out to dry based on a rumour, but if Fenty did even engage these chancers it would make an absolute mockery of his previous lines about wanting what's best for the club and making sure it wasn't some dodgy characters coming in.

As a sidenote, hasn't Leigh Curtis (the author of the article) got form for continually winding Town fans up?  I seem to remember when he was at The Echo he was always running 'stories' that seemed to flip between Craig Disley heading to Sincil Bank or those god awful click-bait 10 reasons why Lincoln is nicer than Grimsby type.

Of course nobody has mentioned the most pertinent question. Neither Hardy nor Dodd  have a pot to pisss in so who are the real movers and shakers behind this supposed deal?

Their dads Ken and Olly.

Well it's pouring down here again so I just passed an hour looking at Alick Kapikanya and Alan Hardy

Don't know anything about Dodds but if he chooses to surround himself with these two individuals how can he ever be deemed to be a fit and proper person to own a football club. Surely JF would sell GTFC to these guys?

Dodds wanted to buy Meadow Lane and knock it down apparently.

Only a Facebook group rumour so not his usual reliable source, but says Nolan been slashed to 1/5 with Sky Bet. Not that that always means anything.

I guess Nolan being odds on fave could be simply the connection to Hardy and the supposed takeover? Sky putting 2 + 2 together and making a takeover and new manager from it

It could be that the said duo have put a big bet on Nolan getting the job,

AND

Paying off Fenty with their winnings when they appoint Nolan.
