Not sure if this has already been put out there but I thought I would see if on the Woking fans forum what they thought about Limbrick. As he is probably a candidate for the job on a full time basis. Not many comments but here are a few: "Good luck to him. For his sake, I hope Grimsby don’t end up selling there best players next month."
"Can't wait for the post match interviews"
"I just hope for everyone’s sake that; -they have a pair of centre backs who can pass the football! -a fan base who can put up with hearing the same story no matter what the performance or result -league referees and linesman who are hard of hearing for fear or being in earshot of his constant bemoaning of all decisions throughout the 90 minutes.
But most of all I do hope he manages to keep you in the League! I know what I’m placing a bet on right now..."Link: http://www.cardsboard.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9205&sid=a680b4daa028d0aa5ca188a05e2bcf94 Make of that what you will. But at least post match interviews might be interesting again.

Think Limbrick will get 8-10 games unless it is a disastrous I.e. winless period then he might go earlier.

If you go back to the Q&A with limbrick and Jolley they both said how they work as a team and lean on each other for ideas which leads me to one conclusion, limbrick was as much the problem as Jolley himself... To me he should've have followed hot on Jolleys heels and been shown the door..... He did nothing with Woking yet the following year, under a new manager, they all but stormed the league..says it all imho..

I seem to recall at one stage Woking were 3rd under Limbricks stewardship and playing some excellent stuff, I do also recall some people touting him to be our new manager at one stage, however things fell away badly when he lost his best players by all accounts before getting relegated shortly after Limbricks departure.

Didn’t want Jolley sacked. But if that’s the route they’ve taken then they need to get someone new in whilst we’re in a comparatively ok position. Limping along with an assistant doesn’t work.

I always feel that an assistant, rightly or wrongly, will be tainted by the previous manager's failure. He was part of the set up. Either he failed to impose himself and get his voice heard, or he was instrumental in the failed selection/tactics/system of play. Limbrick will need to pick his words carefully during his first few interviews.

It's a completely different set up at Woking which is a part time club and many players had other jobs besides playing football. Limbrick deserves the chance at Town and knows the players and had over a year to work alongside some of them. He has the benefit of knowing everyone and he must have a few ideas at the back of his mind that he's not been allowed to try out. He deserves the first chance. We have some good young players and keeping them together is important.

Has the previous manager failed though? Some sackings he clearly has, but in Jolley's case it's not that clear cut.

I think he should be given a go., I really don't think we are in danger of going down let's see how he does in the next few games.
