Your wrong, if anyone wants to rent a venue at a football ground who the hell are you to say that club can't generate much needed income by renting a room or two out to them. Also any press coverage is free, and you can't beat free publicity.

Because, it is divisive. It is a short term gain but a longer term loss. Let’s say Fenty had taken Jezza’s money. Would you be happy? No you wouldn’t.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

The clubs policy is to hire out their conference facilities to any legal and above board organisation including political parties.

How is that divisive?

Sorry I shouldn’t mock the afflicted. But d you not think the argument we’ve been having over this divisive? Do you think this has made some people more or less inclined to spend money on GTFC? Apart from you Brexiteers I mean?

You think by opening up the conference facilities to bona fide organisations makes people less inclined to spend money on GTFC?

I think you are confusing a handful of people arguing on this forum over politics with the 99% of fans who couldn't care less as long as the club make a few Bob hiring their facilities out.

What part of ‘the argument going on for the past couple of months’ being divisive don’t you understand? I’m sorry this is a bit complex for you but try thinking about it.

It has been "divisive " on one thread on here involving about a dozen posters.

My point is that the wider fan base will not care either way as long as the facilities are available to all organisations.

I would not be as condescending as you, but I also cannot get why you cannot understand that.

Perhaps you are like Labour supporters on Twitter who convinced themselves they would win the election whereas the public had completely the opposite view!

Ollie mentioned Brexit and Farage, funny how nobody's jumping down his throat 🤔😅

Not that I could really understand if he for or against...

That short term gain will put much needed funds into the club, or would you rather the club struggle.

I wouldn't be so precious if Jezza had done the same as Farage and I certainly wouldn't be wetting my big boy trousers either.

The clubs survival is the big picture here but some people can't see that because they are too narrow minded.

Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

Jesus’ disciple Peter, picked up a fish to get the tribute money from it, Jesus left his thumb print on the fish, bless'ed is the Haddock.

I can't see any longer term loss. Forgotten about really, just a few hard left/extreme Remoaner whines then forgotten about.
