It's Bobby Cumming FFS

Great night, I was in the Barrett's Stand.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Great night. I was in the open corner between The Osmond and The Barretts right next to the Everton fans, there were even a few in with us in that corner. Absolutely rammed in the ground that night.

Fantastic. First time I've seen the goals, including on the night itself when I was too small to see despite being near the front of the Pontoon. What a night though - was walking on air - so proud of that Town team - and still am!

Brian Kidd scored for Everton.  He had won (and scored)  the European Cup with United.  There must be a a number of other players who have played at BP who have won the CL or European Cup.

Garry Birtles is an obvious one.  Ruud Gullit I think.

Teddy Sherringham, Dwight Yorke?, Andy Cole.

Must be other Forest or Villa players.

Kevin Keegan and Ray Clemence?

Frank Lampard?

Sterling is a difficult one as he played at BP forr England under 16s (Think it was the U16s).

Can people think of others?

(There have also been some outstanding players at BP who did not win the CL/European Cup).

He didn't win the European Cup but played in a final — Ivano Bonetti

Was in my normal spot in the Barratt's - was there ever a better stand?

In the morning on the way to work I went into my local newsagents at the bottom of Grimsby Road and saw four Evertonians who had very obviously been staying over, and well hung over to boot. So I asked Peter the newsagent, as loud as I possibly could for a copy of every paper that had a report on the greatest Town game I'd ever seen last night. It's not very day you get to lord it over one of the top teams in the country.

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

I don't think Lampard played at BP but Michael Carrick did (Spurs '05 before winning the CL in '08 )

Ashley Cole played for Palace in 2000 (his league debut!) and won the CL in 2012.

Andy Robertson might have played in a friendly for Hull at BP, but even if he did, it's a friendly and doesn't really count!

Oh, James Milner for Swindon in 2003.

Stood in the main stand pontoon end with my late dad and late brother in law what happy memories I have of this night can’t believe it was 40 years ago. We had a bottle of whisky to keep us warm and then back to sisters for her fantastic spare ribs ( wish we still had the recipe )

Remember the 2nd goal like it was yesterday - even though I was in the Pontoon!

I was in the 'little club' after the match having a pint with Mick Brolly.
Super guy and very modest.

I don't think he could have been on a big wage either, he used to call at our car spares shop for bits.

A lovely man and what a night that was.
