So, will they pick out the bye team first or leave it to be the last ball that gets the bye, the excitement may be too much for me to take.

I was looking through the ties tomorrow and noticed there is a battle of the imposters to get in to the first round...

Another team in Black & White stripes is guaranteed to be in there as both Chorley & Spennymoor have modelled their strips on the Mighty Mariners

One of those two in the next round would be quite a good day out to be honest... then they can really see what a Black & White Army looks like!

Also who’s heard of any of these obscure sides in there?

Royston Town,
Malton and tiptree
Notts County
Whyteleafe
Chesterfield
Bowers & Pitsea
Potters Bar Town,

Fair play to these plucky minnows though.

I have seen Bowers and Pitsea this season - based in Basildon and a hard running direct long ball side. Currently at the bottom of the Isthmian Premier League. Would be a great away game for me (just down the road) - all hustle and bustle but no subtlety.

Likewise Maldon and Tiptree - who have a nice little ground in Maldon - play in blue and red like Palace. They are an outlet for Colchester United's young  academy players and regularly have several people on loan. This season they are top of the Isthmian League North and have a 100% record so far this season. Played six, won six, scored 20 conceded 3. They play fast passing football. They would be a banana skin side if we drew them.

I'm probably going to see Potters Bar play on Tuesday night. There a bit of a dark horse but have had a good draw to get to the 4th qualifying round but I don't see them getting past Barnet

Royston Town are a decent side. Their President is a mate of mine (and knows I'm a GT supporter) so it would be great to go and play them there.

Whyteleafe play in the same league Isthmian South East as my local team East Grinstead Town . I’m amazed a team at this level have managed to get this far as pretty low grade . EGTfc play in front of 150 -200 usually. Whyteleafe have got a difficult game against conference south Chippenham by the look of it but I’d be well happy with them if they manage it as it’s just up the road

Any very small club home or away if we don't get the bye.

Give me the bye all day long, through to round 2, £36k in the bank with no costs incurred. Ever closer to Manure away in round 3.

I want Scunthorpe. There’d be a big crowd so plenty of money and it’ll be as good as a bye.
