Saw they released a statement on their O.S yesterday saying they had a good transfer window (well were allowed to bring a couple a in ) are running the club sustainably and not in a situation like their near neighbours, they are being open with their trust and allowed them full viewing of the books, updated on the stand issues which prevents them using an area of the ground and is losing them revenue, highlighted they had youth players breaking into the first team and pleaded with supporters to come together and back the team. Looking at their recent gates it seems they are only getting around 2900 home support in....didnt realise how bad it had got there...obviously Scholes only lasting a coupe of months was a sign but seems there is an awful lot out of line.
which hopefully will translate into a 3 point away day.

Town need to put ‘that other game’ out of mind for now and I’m sure MJ will have them focussed on two very winnable away games coming up - starting tomorrow at Oldham and a game we should be looking to come away from with all 3 points -

Taking my two lads across tomorrow. How many do we think will make the trip?

I heard earlier we already sold 650... Amazing if true considering Chelsea. Our lot would have gone but not made of money sadly so Chelsea replaces.

Usually stuff like is usually a precursor to us losing the game. 2900 at Oldham is very bad. Christ, that's just an away following for some of our away games.

Oldham are yet another club at this level, and particularly endemic of those in the North West at the minute, with batshít ownership.
If Scholes was a left field managerial appointment, an eccentric Frenchman whose managerial experience is almost entirely limited to the Middle East was something else for a provincial, Mancunian League Two side.
Of course, you could argue that a non-football playing city boy whose only experience was a short-lived stint at an eventually relegated, obscure Swedish club, and whose legal record was longer than his managerial one, was equally obscure - but the difference is the intent.
A lot has been said about JSF in light of the potential takeover and the goings on at Bury and Bolton (not to mention the potential cheque that’s in the mail for Scunny), but right now I’m just enjoying supporting a relatively successful, relatively stable football club. There have been no shortage of moments pretty high up on the batshít Richter scale - bonkers fans forums, bizarre radio phone ins and a catalogue of cataclysmic fashion crimes, but in times like these I think you have to reflect and be grateful for what you have:
A stable, self-sufficient football club, on a steady but seemingly upward trajectory with well meaning if occasionally calamitous ownership. It’s not particularly aspirational to live life with an outlook of “it could be worse”, but it really could....

'in times like these I think you have to reflect and be grateful for what you have'
There are many things I'm grateful for. Being born when and where I was born, family, health, etc. The fact our football club isn't run by a crook, or a completely batshit egotist with a penchant for his 'flexible friend' isn't one of them.

And I get that, I really do. But tell me the same when we’re gone...
