Why have you got the Liberal Party as an option, but not the Liberal Democrats?

I think if we voted for Swin to represent the fishy it should be a great TV event with him and Boris.

If you're gonna put the SNP up why not PC and all the loonies, I mean Unionist and Republican, parties in NI? And UKIP.

The other thing that's struck me is that in a country made up of 4 nations, we've got 6 nationalist parties and that doesn't include anything specifically for the English. And I'm not including Mebion Kernow in that either.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

See Great Grimsby is high on the Tory 🎯 list for the coming election. Can’t see this happening and Melanie Onn appears to be doing a good job in fighting for the Town. Would be good to see her at Blundell Park. UTM

Councils of all types receive a government grant. Check out the trends for that under recent Tory administrations.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the current numbers in this poll considering the high leave vote in GY/Clee. Could it be because exiles in more metropolitan areas have skewed the result or have people just seen Brexit for the tax dodging, anarcho capitalist  rich elites' scam that it is

Lots of people acting confused and like they didn't have all this information in the first place.  "You mean Brexit will make me poorer, make everything cost more and make sure I pay more tax while tax dodgers will be free out of EU laws on tax havens? I was lied to!"

They were not lied to. It's just that all they wanted to hear was "BREXIT MEANS FOREIGNERS GO HOME!". They still want the foreigners to be shipped off, they just don't want all the bad parts of Brexit like literally everything else. It's no real surprise that high leave numbers were in small towns with a vast majority white British population. If you asked people why they voted leave at the time they'd all give foreign immigration as the main reason followed by parroting some vague bit about EU laws and money that they don't actually understand.

My mother-in-law is a Labour member and goes door knocking around town during the elections and has turned many family occasions into Corbyn rallies. She’s also a staunch Brexiteer. It’s not a left/right or party issue whatsoever.

As usual the same old rhetoric from 'remoaners' trying to justify that the majority of 'leavers' are just thick and stupid, and didn't know or understand what they were voting for!....please give it a rest, and just let us deliver the result the majority of the country asked for....LEAVE MEANS LEAVE!

I don't know how the Labour party have such high numbers in this vote. Corbyn is a Marxist anti democratic traitor, staggering. I'll be voting for the magnificent Boris Johnson in any election.

Tongue obviously firmly in cheek there.

Shouldn't be too much of a surprise to see Labour with a lead in our area with the LibDems following close behind. It's the folk in the wealthy areas, especially the south east, who provide the Tory block vote. I would have expected more Brexit Party backers, however, but perhaps they are just the ones who can't be bothered to read any stuff about politics? Hence voting for a party without any policies other than get out of Europe.

Or maybe all the old racists can't read any stuff about politics because they have died and that's why the Brexit party doesn't have the sort of support what you expected, I see a lot of people voting for surrender parties like LibDems and Corbyn's Marxist party, of course these people are fully informed and not ignorant at all. If only the surrender party voters could have a few more babies and then these self entitled anti democracy narcissists can carry on the constant whinging that they didn't win the vote back in 2016 and how life is so unfair and now their pumpkin latte has gone cold boo hoo.

Another value-free post, but I suppose we should be pleased for small mercies in that it didn't include any more witless GIFs.

Actually, looking at the 2017 results for Grimsby, I see that the Kippers got fewer votes than I thought. Therefore, perhaps not surprising that this little informal poll shows little support for their tribute party.

Grimsby has always been labour through and through, you could put a monkey in a labour suit and it would win hands down at local elections, I mean just look at Onn, looks like she just walked out of the Winter Gardens at closing time and making her way home on her own.

But hey, you managed to squeeze enough of it to gobble gobble about it though eh turkey,  Christmas is coming chop chop, although Christmas this year falls on 31st October

1. We could take the VAT off sanitary towels and enable those thousands of young girls who miss school because they are in period poverty due to the cost of tax on Sanitary towels the EU is unwillingly to remove. The forced VAT on this so called in their system a luxury product the UK charges 5% rate on sanitary protection, the lowest rate currently permissible under EU VAT rules. How about we intercourse this rule off and improve the lives of thousands of young girls, so that they can get to school.

This is your beloved EU, putting tax on Sanitary pads and calling them a luxury item, putting young girls out of school because they can't afford them. This will never change under the EU and If you are fine with that, well that says more about you than me. Is that one reason enough for you

2. If we don't like something we can vote people in who will make a change, a change that makes things better not worse as it suits other countries. Unlike as it is now

3. We vote in politicians on policies we have a say in and not over ruled by Brussels. Unlike as it is now

4. We can deport other countries criminals without the EU saying we are breaching their human rights under EU law.  Unlike as it is now

5. UK law is the highest authority.  Unlike as it is now

6. We can trade with other countries without the EU saying no, because we won't be operating under a protectionist Cartel.  Unlike as it is now

7. The UK decides who comes into the UK and how long for.  Unlike as it is now

8. We can develop technologies in the UK as we control our funding.  Unlike as it is now

We could go on about CAP and CFP but when we leave the squeeze on our rebates won't exist so can fund directly and set policies to benefit farmers and fisherman.

Do you dress yourself every morning, do you wipe your own bottom, if the answer is yes then why wouldn't you want the UK to look after it's own interests and manage itself.
